Hi Manfrom

Have you tried any New Belgium Brewery beers at all? Not sure you get them your neck of the woods, they're based on Colorado.

I was just about to say yes, Dragons milk.

But that's from New Holland, not New Belgium

Not sure I have.,...let me have a wee look at beer advocate to see if anything rings a bell.

Anythibg good I should look out for?

Fat Tire is the most popular/commonly available from what I could tell. I went on the Brewery tour when I was over there, it was class.

They do all sorts, from IPA's, Wheat Beers to this chocolaty stout that tastes like a slightly sweeter Guinness. They also do this really dry Ale that tastes of Cherry and is dry like champagne.

Can't get any over here because they only sell in the US and Canada.

Fat tire

Drank a few of those on a Vegas golf course. Decent ale. Went down easy and helped loosen my swing

Love Fat Tire, I miss it

You can go the brewery and fill up Growlers (oh er) then take them home.

Off to a Brewdog tasting session this evening as a Christmas pressie... I'm pretty familiar with Punk IPA but anyone got any ideas what else is worth searching out whilst I'm down there?

Love breweries. Nothing like grabbing a tasty beer that was brewed just a few hours ago. Bloody thousands of them now. Think there's at least 8 within a 5 minute drive of my front door.

I was surprised at the local/small breweries when I was over there. Never associated the US with ale and micro breweries etc. Shows what I know

I'm a big fan of elvis juice, but amongst friends it seems to be marmite, love or hate but definitely worth a try.

There's a new brewery in bath the "electric bear brewery" I was given a few for Christmas there was a really nice one called "samurye" which was a rice and rye ale. Very very nice

To be fair, can't judge the microbrewerys but their commercial beers are the worst..

Micro brewery culture is taking off all over the world though and they (micros) make the best beer!

Report back from Brewdog... Jet Black Heart is very drinkable. Lovely creamy imperial stout with a dark chocolatey taste. Had some of their Tokyo which at 16.5% is enough to get you half Knottyed on a pint.

As for football

They're opening up a brewery in the US soon so you may start to see the price come down
