Kante is a diamond. Look at Leicester without him and look at Chelsea last season without him.

Brilliant player.

We would be unstoppable with him in the team

Lineker said whoever signed Kante would win the title back in the summer.

Anyone a bit worried about Matip yet?

I remember last year when we signed him, there was a youtube video of his highlights. One in particular some of us laughed at because it was just awful defending. The attacker ran at him, he thought the ball was there to be won, tried to step/lunge in, but timed it so badly that the attacker simply skipped by him into the box.

Same deal last night with the pen. And a few times against Southampton the same thing happened where he committed himself but was too slow and the attacker flew past him.

Don't be ridiculous. It's Lovren's fault, it's always Lovren's fault

Lovren is dreadful.

Why has the op not been updated

posted on 1/2/17

Because we haven't signed anyone yet

As for the team, we essentially need a new CB, CM and CF, as well as another squad player similar to Mane (could be Ojo if he develops well). Sadly, I feel like we have been saying this for the last 3 or 4 seasons.

Although I should say that adding real quality in the positions listed above would hopefully get us in a position to challenge for the title whereas in previous seasons it was to break back into the top 4.

Matip hasn't got his sharpness back yet, that's all.

He was playing against the best team in the league and did fine.

Honestly the criticism on here is ludicrous.

There isn't a single player that people collectively think is good enough which is just absurd. One bad game and suddenly everyone starts turning and ignoring what's gone before.

We've loaned people out!

I think we all can agree that Woodburn is the GOAT.

Rhian Brewster will be better.

Brewster > Woodburn > Ojo > Ibe > Sterling.

I thought we were depressed, then I had a look at the Arsenal board

Arent they both around the same age?

posted on 1/2/17

It must be horrendously boring being an Arsenal fan.

Everyone knows how their season is going to go.

A few kid themselves it will go down differently, but deep down they all know.

Woodburn is a whole 3 months older than Brewsterz

Brewster born in 2000

Makes me feel older than raps bowls buddies.

posted on 1/2/17

As long as you're not physically feeling them like Rap is you'll be OK.

Popel not agreeing with each other isn't really absurd at all.

Regarding Matip, I think its absolutely fine to discuss his performances. Don't see why it should be off limits.

It's absurd that there is always at least one player in the team that between a fairly small section of fans on here is considered not good enough, and questioned extremely quickly.

I mean Matip has been back for 5 mins and you want to discuss his form as if it's a problem.

Why are expectations of performance so ludicrously high? I don't understand where this mentality comes from.

I'm not making a comparison between Firmino and Sturridge, it's chalk and cheese. The original question was should we sell Sturridge in this window for the rumoured 25m. My point was that he may just score us a crucial goal and return to form. And that it was better to have Studge, Firm and Origi in the hope that one of them hits a purple patch, rather than just the two of them.

This my opinion...

All good strikers need games and Klopp doesn't actually know his best forward, which doesn't help anyone tbh...

They are gonna be a bit off the pace if they are in and out of the team tbh..

The only reason I would favour Sturridge is due to the fact he has a supreme goal scoring record and he tries things that others wouldn't... Plus he does assist a lot of goals and create space for others too...

Anyone remember the SAS?

I rate all 3 of our forwards, but with constant chopping, changing and leaving out... Its not gonna help anyone imo!

Besides I would play at least 2 of them each week and would drop Can, who is a hindrance to both defence and attack at present!
