You do if you plan for it. Just got to get the replacements in ahead of time.

I could potentially see him going next year for the quoted money if he has a standout season, but like with this season, there will be other, new standout players in the next window

Mbappe and keita were barely on anyones radar last season, they had a great season, and now are two potentially highly priced and desired acquisitions.

The same will happen next year, coutinho has been consistently inconsistently good, next year there will be new little baubles that the Spanish two will want to buy.

I am so fecking bored of this tranny window now. At least it's only a few days until we can actually start talking football again.

I don't think we wil lsign VvD - reckon he's off to Chelsea.

I don't think we will sell Coutinho - it would totally undermine Klopp, which could be a far bigger problem than losing a player.

I'm not sure what some of them expect. We can see something is being built, and it's not in the ilk of City or Chelsea where money is thrown at it. But we've been here before under Rafa and Houllier where it turned out be be a false dawn. I've got faith in both Klopp and the owners and wish some of our fans would be patient.

I am always ambitious but demanding we spend £200m and expecting to win the league every season when we can't compete financially is a step too far.

Our owners will never spend like City, Utd & Chelsea. You need to spend to win the league every year. We may win it once in a blue moon with our set up.

How haven't we been bought by some rich chinese/russian/arab man yet, we already have the stadium, worldwide fanbase, youth setup, decent team, rich history. Can't be many more attractive options out there.

Blame Moores. He sold to a bunch of cowboys. We now have another US company who really are in it only for the money. I don't think they are bothered if we finish 1st. I think they are happy for us to be consistently in the Champions league. They have made many mistakes and held their hands up. I don;t think they realised what was involved in running a club like ours.

Doesn't stop the fact that Spurs, Arsenal and Leicester who have a similar model to ours have been more successful than us. 1 league cup in 10 years is embarrassing.

There are so many variables, such as the luck of the draw, whether other comps take priority in the managers eyes or just having a bad day at the office and going out. United for example didn't win the FA Cup for 13 years until the year before last. Plus I've always thought the league was a better indicator of where a club is at.

Oh and how have Spurs been more successful?

I am not bothered about the FA Cup and the Milk cup whatever it is called nowadays.

I think we need to concentrate on the league and champions league only.

We have had many managers and changed owners and nearly been in administration. Klopp said he is working on a project here and I didn't expect results over night.

They have been better than us in the league last 6-7 years with the exception of one slip year.

i'd happily sacrifice the 2 domestic cups for the league & CL!

but the simple fact is we've not addressed the glaring weakness in the squad!

we need a partner for Matip and a top player wants to come and we're d!cking about!
