VVD is by far and away our best player now, so consistent which is something you don't get from Salah or Firmino.
Midfield will be fine once Keita and Fabinho are bedded in, them 2 and Milner or Wijnaldum will be a very strong midfield.
Yes TOOR, Henderson bla bla bla.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He plays Henderson in every big game. I just want to know what you see that Klopp doesn't.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I just don't see what he brings to the team aside of leadership, which he does bring in abundance.
He is the worst footballer in the side when he plays, not sure that can really be contested.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Was he the worst footballer in the side when we played PSG?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, played well but the worst footballer we have. He gives his all and it comes off in many games, but he doesn't have the technical ability of the rest of the players in our side.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's the best passer in the entire squad. To say he has no technical ability when he is able to manipulate a ball as well as he can is nonsense.

Just don't see it myself. He can play a hollywood pass fairly well but so often it doesn't come off. Think you've got better passers of the ball in the side than him. VVD being one of them.
Think Klopp made the correct subs v Chelsea, Hendo and Salah coming off was absolutely the right option at the time.
Was still too late with making the changes imo. I mean it's paid off so no compliants but overall, he tends to wait until the last minute to make changes.
Needs to trust his bench more.
Honestly thought it just be a very frustrating evening where we created half a dozen clear cut chances but not finish. Thankfully Sturridge comes on and bangs in a worldie.
Chelsea have become somewhat of a frustrating side for us of late, even under Conte. They played some good stuff this weekend though.
It's only Hazard that's been the thorn if we're being honest. He needs to fack off.
Would be great if we brought Hazard.
Imagine our front three
Mané, Firmino, Salah

Just looked at the other players on the bench that day and Nathan Eccleston was a sub. He is 27 right now and is a free agent. His last club was in Hungry and Kilmarnock before that.
Crazy how a youth player at one of the biggest clubs in the world is unemployed at 27.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Seem to recall he had some attitude problems, which probably have stopped him having a successful career in the lower leagues.
I know the club have changed their policy on youth player wages since the likes of Eccleston, Amoo, Pacheco, etc were with the club so it will be interesting to see if that has an effect on the players we've released recently.
I want to see him behind our front three

I'm still a fan of Henderson but I'll admit he's not looked so great this season. Though he did have an excellent game against PSG which is all that counts really isn't it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I do find it amusing how on JA606 when you talk about a trend, people point to one single event as if the trend is completely invalid.
Henderson was great against PSG but that doesn't mean he's had a good season, he hasn't.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But he’s not even starting every game, so not sure why you’re moaning as if he’s the first name one the team sheet......

In time.
VVD will be captain in the next year or two, and Fabinho will start in the 6. Currently Henderson has been usurped in that position by Wijnaldum for most games.
I do find it amusing how GB always used to talk about Wij as a potential CDM when he was at Newcastle, and we all laughed at him
Wijnald did have a bust world cup two. And Milner. Weird how they're starting but after a few weeks the captain starts the big game. Klopp's mental.

And the captain was subbed off in the big game because he was crap. Milner and Wij also started that game, with them rotating in the 6.
So not sure that's the best example...
After this weeks tough games we have a few easier games that we should be winning -
Huddersfield Away
Cardiff Home
Arsenal Away
Fulham Home
Our front 3 will hopefully be on top form by then and I can see one if not more of those teams getting a proper mauling.

Aside of wayward finishing we've been decent up front, not a patch on last season but if the finishing gets better the confidence will soar and we will go back to our attacking abilities from last season.
Combine that with the improvement in midfield and defence and that's a hell of a side.

Watching our games last season against City and we were so clinical. Some of the goals were tough angles etc but we managed to score them. I really hope that is the case on Sunday as you need to take the chances you get against City.
I think our front three look more selfish this season.
