In all seriousness he could do a Van Persie, and we might get a couple of seasons out of him at a top level.

Him and Shaqiri have added so much depth up front meaning we aren't reliant on the usual trio who are all in bad form, Mane least so.

VVD is by far and away our best player now, so consistent which is something you don't get from Salah or Firmino.

Midfield will be fine once Keita and Fabinho are bedded in, them 2 and Milner or Wijnaldum will be a very strong midfield.

In Studge's case, (as I mentioned in preseason) I think it may just be that being sent to West Brom was a massive wake up call and that would be the level he'll play at for the rest of his career if he doesn't change his mentality.

Yes, played well but the worst footballer we have. He gives his all and it comes off in many games, but he doesn't have the technical ability of the rest of the players in our side.

Forgot Lallana even existed

I'm still a fan of Henderson but I'll admit he's not looked so great this season. Though he did have an excellent game against PSG which is all that counts really isn't it

I do find it amusing how on JA606 when you talk about a trend, people point to one single event as if the trend is completely invalid.

Henderson was great against PSG but that doesn't mean he's had a good season, he hasn't.

I didn't say he's had a good season, I literally said he's not looked great this season.

My point was that he's still dependable in the big games and PSG was our biggest game this season, so far.

I think the Chelsea match was the first time Van Dijk had the armband?...he should keep it imo.

Henderson hasn't got near his pre ankle injury form for me, not sure he ever will but he's still a good player to have.

Just looked at the other players on the bench that day and Nathan Eccleston was a sub. He is 27 right now and is a free agent. His last club was in Hungry and Kilmarnock before that.

Crazy how a youth player at one of the biggest clubs in the world is unemployed at 27.

I'm torn between voting for Van Dijk or Gomez for our player of the month.
