Talking about corona virus anyone get the cold/flu like me as its all breaking out? Wonder if you are more or less susceptible to catching it if you've recently just had another flu virus.

There is only one way of catching it and whether you have a particular illness at the time is irrelevant to whether you catch it. That is coming into contact with it. It doesn't skip people who are healthy. Although your likelihood of beating it increases if you're healthy.

Thats what i meant, kinda, will the immune system be stronger or weaker after recently fighting off another virus?

People with a weaker immune system due to illness will obviously struggle.

Business as usual unless someone dies in the UK who is in the age range of 16 to 55.

Corona virus became a touch scarier in the UK.

One guy who was infectious and had infected people in switzerland merrily boarded a flight to gatwick and made his way to London.

Got on the train at Gatwick most probably, the line that serves Victoria <> Brighton.

This week a GP surgery in Brighton closed due to someone there that got Corona virus. There is a reasonable chance its linked and that in 2 weeks there will be a lot more people affected.

The flight is a worry for all those on board given the circulated air system, and when he got back he also had time to visit a local boozer too.

the city game has been re-scheduled for this FF game week so for all those fuming with city players you get a reprieve

Unless there’s something they’re not telling us, which of course can’t be ruled out, then I don’t think the vast majority of us have too much to worry about. These things are historically a real threat to the sick and elderly, people of normal health usually make a full recovery.

Compare that to Ebola, with an average rate of 50%, but as high as 90%, then it should put it into context.

i wonder what % of old/very young people die when they get pneumonia, if its similar then nothing really to worry about

It’s the infectious rate that is the thing they look for most.

If on average a person with it is infecting 1 person or more then that’s when they really start to worry. Currently Corona virus is infecting less than 1 person on average

The point is if you're infectious for two weeks before major symptoms are displayed you're going to help its spread which includes to vulnerable people like parents grandparents and those that work in the healthcare profession.

Its not a case of.. oh it wont affect me so bad so no problem.. everyone has to take adequate measures and be sensible
