People listen to it primarily because of the utter shiiiiiiite they speak. It's to provoke people to call in.

Yeah. The worst thing about it is that if they actually had people with knowledge and didn't look to annoy people into calling in, they could actually get some good debates going and make for interesting shows.

Although I made a recording the other week from it. A former colleague had called in about his gambling addition, stating he was a recovering compulsive gambler. It was hilarious. You'll be surprised why I find that funny.

So whilst he worked with me, he was 'gambling'. Putting £2 on the odd golfer every other week. One week he was off work sick and put £50 on. After losing and terrified his girlfriend would find out, he then put another £50 on which also lost. He told his girlfriend. She made him change his bank details in work to her bank and sign up for Gamblers Anonymous, which he had to attend weekly. That was the whole extent of his gambling.

Some background on his girlfriend. She used to give him £1.50 to bring to work, which had to cover his petrol and lunch. He would buy 50p noodles in Lidl and £1 petrol. He would also have to make her lunch every night, as well as cook the dinner and do the cleaning. He would also run her baths, with candles, wine etc. After all this she would complain he doesn't do enough and cry about stupid crap. I tried to tell him she has complete control over him.

Finally he got offered a job in England, which would triple his salary. Basically he had to work there for three months and then he could apply for the same job back home, accomodation was paid for and he got a company vehicle. She said no. He came in the following morning saying he's doing it, he doesn't care. He told the company of his intentions but then withdrew his resignation the following day after she put the foot down.

Anyhow, long story short, she has complete control over him and convinced him he has a gambling addition due to a few £2 bets and one week of £100. He is so convinced, he called into Talksport to tell them about it. The cynic in me thinks she made him call in.

i had a mate who when we were 16 who i didnt see for 8 months because he wasnt allowed to go anywhere other than with his mrs

he still gets ripped for it to this day

She must be fit to take that punishment

It's true. She's a beast.

We used to go out one week a year, when we finished for Christmas, he'd basically have to beg her and she'd scream at him about having to give him a tenner. I know this as a former colleague of hers now works for me and he told me he witnessed it, every year. She'd then turn up, just as we're getting into it, an hour later, demanding he go home.
