Gomez is back though apparently.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Then I'd start him over Matip probably.
Adrian will definitely play.
Milner will probably be at left back
Origi will again start as will Minamino, and bizarrely will play were the other should.
I think a bit of consistency before Atletico would do no harm at all. We're shipping goals atm.
Adrian
Williams Gomez Matip Milner
Ox Wijnaldum Chirivella
Salah Origi Minamino

Yep something like this. Maybe Mane for Salah
You just know Minamino will start central and Origi left.. that's what I was saying above.. it's so evident it should be the other way around but Klopp wont change it.
I think it makes sense rith. Minamino playing Firminos role and Origi has generally done his eest work from the left.

Does he really from the left though? Recent examples:
Barca at home - Central
Arsenal in league cup - Central
Was he not also central in Merseyside derby?

Just not sure why we would start Minamino and Origi rather than better players.
It's Chelsea, not Chesterfield.

I dont think Minamino is up to speed or ready for that role especially in the physicality of the english game.
He just gets completely overpowered.
Yep, understood he is in for the Firmino role, but if he just gets completely battered what's the point?
At least allow him and Origi to switch during the game, otherwise he wont get many touches.

Oh come on Klopp was hardly going to put Shaq central.

Yeah but those are the games where Origi did the business. At Central.
Reckon Curtis Jones could get a start in midfield. Let's see how he compares to Mount and Barkley
I'd rather we went full strength anyway but happy to try something different. I don't see Minamino wide left though.

I think this is an overreaction tbh but anecdotally, it does feel like the team have been lethargic since the winter break.

Start of this season and last we looked like we were running through treacle. I think the break has caused the same but will pay massive dividends at the end of the season. The worry of course being that we won't have anything to play for at that point.
I think the Watford defeat is a huge dose of realism for the players. Definitely felt like they were just turning up expecting to win in an arrogant, complacent way.
Good for them to get a smack in the mouth before 2 utterly crucial fixtures in Chelsea and Madrid.
Yeah I think that's all fair, Robbing and Rap. Defo a concern as we have some important games coming up but not going to overreact.
Will say, the Saturday loss has removed a tonne of pressure from my mind.
I really didn't think we'd go unbeaten but tbh the treble would be far more important to me anyway.
I don’t think it’s pressure of getting over the line. Might be true if we were six points ahead, but not 20ish. Think it was more to do with being unbeaten imo, that brought a different kind of pressure.

yeah I mentioned this on another thread.
Now that's done with let's get back to winning ways starting tonight. Play a strong side with maybe Jones in midfield and the dutch kid Hoever at CB. He can't be any worse than Loveren
