He'd probably just make top 3 in the league and that's because everyone else just has poor RBs. Still have TAA and Pereira over him.

Morning trannies
Anyone else have the WFH directive until further notice?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep. Someone in our office tested positive for Corona over the weekend so we're on lock down until further notice.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My wife had that.
My office is too based in the 1980s so despite being in central London for a fintech company, we are all 100% office based.
But I leave next Monday
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My wife works at Citi bank and they've all had to get remote access, in the event they have to work from home. Anybody travelling from Italy has had to work from home already.
Also they have colour-coded staff, so that groups of people can be isolated at different offices or at home, at short notice.

Yeah, all overseas travel is cancelled for us. Everyone works from home at least 2 days a week anyway so changing it to 5 isnt a big deal really. The ball ache is someone on my team is stuck in italy with no access to their laptop so I'm down one person for at least another 2 weeks.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can't the company buy one for him?

She has a laptop, just not with her.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Buy another one? She could be there for a month or more. I'm sure it could be used elsewhere as soon as she returns and gets her own laptop back. Of course that depends if the work she will do is worth more than the cost of the laptop.

My sister works for them too. They’re planning a 2 week at the office, two week at home rotation, with the offices vacant during work from home time being Disinfected.
All seems a bit mental over there at the moment.
Over here the only impact I’ve had is that the road sign on the way into work that usually warns of inclement weather, or gives traffic updates, now directs us to the states website on the virus.
Hope you guys can keep your viruses to yourselves. Not really in the mood for this.

It's not that simple though. The IT dept over here would then have to set it up so it has everything needed from a system/ security perspective which would need to be done in house.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Really? Never heard of that before. Normally people are giving an access code, links to use to login remotely, which is entered through your work login and password. Then the IT people in the office can walk the person through an issues. Strange that you have to be in house to gain access remotely. Even Citi bank don't have that level of security and their security is crazy. I had to go through serious crap to get her access at home but still achievable from home.

People in our place need to have remote access set up in the office too. Need to get them to log in to the laptop on our network so their credentials are cached then they can log in at home. Plus for new laptops we need to push out our standard image to them so they've got all the software etc. that they need. We've had the email asking everyone to test their remote access too in the event of the building shutting down, so I'm sure we will be seeing a fair few service desk calls relating to remote access in the near future.
I have an authentication app on my phone that allows to add a code and log on at home via cisco on my work PC.

It's going to get everyone. The only hope is that it is spread out over a longer period of time to take the impact off health services.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
99% of people that catch it won't need to use health services as they will recover at home.
I'm convinced thousands had had it in the UK but haven't bothered getting tested as it's just a minor illness for most people.

Pretty sure they could get a laptop, install TeamViewer and then the IT bod could remote in and set it up as required.
Probably just a remote access thing to pop on so using that to log in basically opens a window into your server to work off.

We're not the best at keeping up with the times but we're improving in that regard. Rolling out Office 365 at the moment so that will change a lot of things.
Sounds like 2 weeks in Italy and (oh I don’t have my laptop with me) kind of free holiday..
Does seem a bit mad that a laptop has to be physically in a particular place to set it up. I’m far from being any kind of expert on this, but as soon as IT are remotely logged in to a laptop then surely it’s irrelevant where it is?

My sister works for them too. They’re planning a 2 week at the office, two week at home rotation, with the offices vacant during work from home time being Disinfected.
All seems a bit mental over there at the moment.
Over here the only impact I’ve had is that the road sign on the way into work that usually warns of inclement weather, or gives traffic updates, now directs us to the states website on the virus.
Hope you guys can keep your viruses to yourselves. Not really in the mood for this.

Morning trannies
Anyone else have the WFH directive until further notice?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep. Someone in our office tested positive for Corona over the weekend so we're on lock down until further notice.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My wife had that.
My office is too based in the 1980s so despite being in central London for a fintech company, we are all 100% office based.
But I leave next Monday
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My wife works at Citi bank and they've all had to get remote access, in the event they have to work from home. Anybody travelling from Italy has had to work from home already.
Also they have colour-coded staff, so that groups of people can be isolated at different offices or at home, at short notice.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, all overseas travel is cancelled for us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
She has a laptop, just not with her.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Buy another one? She could be there for a month or more. I'm sure it could be used elsewhere as soon as she returns and gets her own laptop back. Of course that depends if the work she will do is worth more than the cost of the laptop.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not that simple though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty sure they could get a laptop, install TeamViewer and then the IT bod could remote in and set it up as required.

She's Italian and now locked down in quarantine at her parents house. I doubt she is having much fun.
