Really cant see this playing out any other way other than cancelling the season. Seems like the only safe and responsible choice at this point.

Not really. You play when you can. June seems a good starting point.

Crowds filling stadiums wont happen for even a year but in the meantime you play behind closed doors.

Clubs can't keep paying players for sitting at home doing a 5 minute zoom video and pay them full wage or even half.

I don’t see why clubs and players should be treated any differently to others. Socially isolate until it’s safe to do so, work from home if you can, don’t if you can’t, go to work if you’re an essential employee.

If paying staff for staying at home and not working is not feasible, don’t pay them. Rushing people back to football and potentially putting people at risk because of lost revenue or wages isn’t ideal

If everyone is tested and it's a controlled environment there really isnt a problem.

I reckon I'll be back in the office by June anyway, various shops already open. Lockdown was to protect the MGS, we've done that.

yeah we had a team meeting yesterday and June is when we will look to think about getting back in the office based upon current Gov guidelines around lock down.

We have been speaking about doing this on some sort rota due to capacity and seating options regarding social distancing.

Lets wait and see.

*when I say Gov guidelines I mean stuff I have seen leaked or suggested online so not official guidelines.

Not really. That player isolates and then the rest of the squad is tested. Now that we have (finally) got the infection rate under control it will not spread like it did in March/April so the rest of the squad should not be affected.

I think people need to get their head around the fact tgere is no cure and all we can do is prepare properly which is what we've been doing for five weeks.

It's not small pox, it's going to get through the entire population at some point and that's that.

This although not an ideal conclusion to the season seeing the multiple meltdowns on this site for years to come will ease the disappointment at not winning it on points.
