Ornstein did. Joyce was still trying to work out how Thiago slipped his net when he kept saying we won't buy him.

I think Pearce still has a decent amount of info but he seems to put his opinion as fact a lot more lately.

Like last summer he said we were interested in Thiago but he personally didn't think it'd happen due to being 29 and on high wages.

I would tend to believe him over Bissouma though, as Arsenal seem to be pushing quite hard for it.

Bissouma is supposedly an Arsenal fan isnt he? I would not be too disappointed if we lost him. I do think he is limited on the ball and will be going to AFCON along with Salah, Mane and the flop.

I'm not to fussed about Bissouma to be honest. Power & pace. That's about it.

Rather we give Jones a shot. He's not so easily bullied on the pitch. It's an underrated attribute of his.

Jones is a threat, always willing to be in the box and break the lines of midfield and can carry the ball well, he's certainly an asset and I rate him well.

He just needs to continue to mature his game.

The only thing you can criticize him about really.

But then you look at his early season form and he was easily one of our best players. Get that level out of him consistently and we have a machine on our hands.

Jones is going to be VERY good.

If I remember correctly, I was the one that had doubts about him at the beginning of the season when everyone else was actually more upbeat...and then he played Atalanta away and Arsenal at home. He was almost faultless.

I genuinely feel he'll be the Wijnaldum replacement everyone is expecting us to buy.

I don't think he enjoys playing in midfield. He wants to be further forward. If he can learn the discipline of the Klopp midfield then he can make it but we should still be looking for another midfielder regardless because both Hendo and Milner are injury prone now.

Ox will probably stay and then get injured in pre season.

Fab has his the odd muscle pulls and there is always concerns over Thiago in a full season. We will need another body for sure.

Apart from Keita, he actually suits the role the best out of all the other midfielders.

Looks after the ball well. Can fend off the challenges in midfield using his body. Decent positioning when asked to play a more restricted role. Can carry the ball forward. Can pass forward although sometimes needing more than one touch (Wij is also guilty of this)

It's almost a like for like replacement.

Obviously tackling is not as good but you know he'll get stuck in.

About two years ago I said he'd never make it as the lad lacks pace but he was playing rider back then.

I like him a lot and think he has goals in him.

I hope the prior links to Neuhaus were true, i think he’s a baller.

He hasn't done much of significance since his goal vs Man City. Granted injuries have played a part but he needs moving on in favour of someone to come through.
