If Stevie goes to Newcastle, I don't think he will ever manage here.
If he's unsuccessful he will be tainted goods, if he's successful he will stay there with the expensive squad he will have built, with unlimited funds and wages, rather than start over again here.
We as a club will be hugely diminished by this deal to be honest. It's another super rich club we will have to beat each and every year. Can't see us doing it

I'd say it's the dreams of Leicester dead in a ditch too, spurs too, little hope for arsenal..
If the FA/EPL step in now, then it's hypocritical given city, I'm surprised there's not huge unrest, this is a bigger deal than the ESL tbh.
We will come to regret not signing up to its spending/wage caps
I wonder who they will buy tbh, they need to look at the unsettled / unwanted players like Coutinho imo.
Could probably build quite a team in January and just say faaaack it to FFP for three years.

I could see Gerrard being tempted and apparently Staveley is a big Liverpool fan so not impossible they go for him.
Kind of pleased for Newcastle fans in a way as they’ve had so many years of misery under Ashley. Proper club with a proper fanbase as well, unlike that soulless club from Manchester.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We all used to not mind Man City in the past. As soon as they get success they will also be caaants.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, everyone definitely used to say City fans were ‘real fans’.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Did we? Empty stadiums before they got rich, empty stadiums after they got rich..

Everton have spent hundreds of millions and are still Shiite every season. It doesn’t necessarily translate.

City used to be this nice club where we used to see Fowler, Macca, Hamman play. They were like a nothing club who hated United like us but then they got success and the fans became tosssers. The same thing will happen at Newcastle.

Punishments include transfer bans and reduced squads. They've said from the start they'll build slow and steady. I reckon it'll be a couple of 30-40 million players in January and will go harder in the summer. The manager is what facinates me most. Conte will surely be on the radar but will he take on this project from the start. Gerrard has been touted and would be interesting.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As I said, Gerrard going there will be the end of him ever managing here
If they have half a brain they would go for someone like the Ajax manager, or Conte would be a top draw for players of the calibre they want.
The big issue for me, is they will be hunting in the same waters as us at first, the (pre sexual assault) bissoumas of this world. Cherry picking the best PL talent from lower clubs, players like Raphina, and obviously Saint Maxim will now not be an option for us.

There's only so many players they can buy. Massively over dramatic to say its the end of us shopping for those type of players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn't say it was the end, I said they would be hunting for the same player, then listed examples (such as Sturbridge/wij/Lallana/mane/Robbo/VVD)
And that only increases competition.
If I were them, given the issues at Tottenham I reckon Son could have his head turned for more money, some players at arsenal too.. proven PL quality, aren't likely to win cups or qualify for CL there, might want a bumper payday.
Then there's the forgotten youth at Chelsea that did so well for Lampard.. They need a squad that can survive the PL pretty sharpish..

To be fair, it shouldn't be allowed, but neither should theirs. And proper spending limits and caps would end both of them.
Also, Abramovic is getting off lightly here.. his money has been acquired through corruption too.
Newcastle making moves already. Torygraph says there are close to signing Tarkowski, and want Lingard too.

Newcastle would be wise to sign Ralph Rangnick as the sporting director. The guy who transformed German football in general and had a big influence on the current German manager's. He is the one who is behind the red bull succes.
He would implement a framework of play and would appoint a manager who suits the style of football.
700 billion is enough money to get the best people in the club.

In all honesty do we know what market Newcastle are in? Their owners wealth makes a mockery out of City’s, theyve spent fack all under Ashley so FFP is out of the question and they’ve a plethora of free agents available in the summer.
Haaland wants £500k a week. On a free that’s their statement signing right there

If they put the right people behind the scenes they could quite easily sell the project. He’s still young enough to use Newcastle as a stepping stone if he did want to end up at one of the traditional elite clubs
