I seriously don't know how FSG out gained momentum, then again this is ja606

A statement from FSG, who also own the Boston Red Sox, to The Athletic read: “There have been a number of recent changes of ownership and rumours of changes in ownership at EPL clubs and inevitably we are asked regularly about Fenway Sports Group’s ownership in Liverpool.
“FSG has frequently received expressions of interest from third parties seeking to become shareholders in Liverpool. FSG has said before that under the right terms and conditions we would consider new shareholders if it was in the best interests of Liverpool as a club.
“FSG remains fully committed to the success of Liverpool, both on and off the pitch.”
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Doesn't necessarily sound like a sale going by that
Well if the sale happens it shows they've done what most thought and not siphoned profits like some thought. Build the club up, expanding the stadium, revamping the training area, gaining success on the pitch, pushing up the value of the club and then selling. Would be a successful tenure.
The new owners will have deep pockets if we are sold. There was one guy Griffin who was interested in Chelsea and is worth 30 billion.

Hmmm that statement suggests that it might not be a full blown sale

As good as Salah has been, I feel our attack loses most of its bite when Nunez isnt playing.
Hes become a key player very quickly for us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's a bit lazy because we don't know how the team will play if Salah is out. Normally he is greatly missed.

Yeah they sold 11% last year and that looks like they're stating they are inviting more shareholders, which is what we already knew anyway. Although the Athletic are not know for peddling rumours, therefore I tend to believe it.

Wasn't that 11% of FSG and not Liverpool. The language here is that Liverpool are up for sale.
All the reliable journalists like Orstein and Pearce have been clearly briefed it is for sale though. Perhaps the statement is just to cover them if it doesn't happen.

This could be the best news in our history. I'm not asking for City levels of spending. Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa levels of spending would be more than enough for Klopp.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah just some owners who don't have a £20m net spend limit.

Could also end up with an owner that would have sacked Klopp for this start to the season though.

There was a 3 billion bid submitted last year from the middle east which was then rejected. i rather see someone from the yank states who knows how to run a sport franchise.

The Abu Dhabi lot run City better than most clubs are run.
If we do get a sugar daddy I wonder how Klopp would react. Not really his thing to spend limitless money.

I wonder how the fans would react. Doesn't feel very Liverpool'esk to have a sugar daddy owner.
Lets not rule out the Mike Ashley "I'm selling Newcastle every summer"
Will not surprise me if we don't get any midfield reinforcements in Jan because FSG are interviewing fake Sheikhs
I don't see why they'd do that when they've had no issues not spending as much as people want for the past 5+ years
