Always felt Salah has the mentality but not necessarily the technique for great penalties, if that makes sense.

Totally agree. His pens aren't always the best but he's calm and experienced. He can miss without it destroying his confidence.

He's also really likely to be on the pitch to take the pens, something which can't necessarily be said of any other attacking player.

Salah pens are always watched behind a sofa. He nailed the pen to the keepers left but whenever he goes to the keeper right he has missed.
