Just saw spurs paid 39m+ 5m load for Porro wtf so had a look at their spending, 670m since 2019daniel facking Levy, thought they were paying off the stadium still.

Spurs fans will tell you Levy is tight and they never spend anything.

Yeah, could just be using us. Though he seems to be burning through a lot of goodwill, and he must have seen the fanbase turned on Mount pretty quickly when they though they were being rejected

Hard to predict how Chelsea will be next season, though Poch is a serious manager
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is he? He had a decent team at Spurs and won nothing
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Had one hand tied behind his back most of the time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Never rated him and feel he us exceptionally lucky yo have had Kane come through.

Guess we'll find out for sure with this appointment though.

I quite like Poch he seems like a decent guy albeit a bit bland but really the only choice for Chelsea to succeed is Ancelotti for reasons others have said.

Although he’s taking the Brazil job.

Maybe, though I’d say any manager to have someone like Kane up front is always going to have that thrown at them at some point. I think he built a decent side, but he stood no chance of moving to the next level and he also realised that when there was that one window where Spurs signed no one, which was the beginning of the end.

But this is definitely going to be his defining appointment, he’s come in with an already expensively assembled squad and with owners who will seemingly back him. He’ll be expected to get them top four and challenging for trophies straight away I would imagine.

Not crazy, it's a normal amount for any half decent team in this era, except us of course.

Levy does this a lot. Pay a big loan fee meaning the final transfer won't look as huge. He did same with Le Celso, Kula etc. It then looks like Spurs ain't spending that much because no one looks at loan fee's.

Poch brought a lot of rubbish at Spurs. And I really do mean a lot of rubbish. Ndombele, Bergwijn, Janssen, Sanchez, Moura, Aurier, Sissoko, Wanyama, Davies and a lot of cheap punts.

A lot of his best Spurs team was already there - Lloris, Vertonghen, Walker, Rose, Eriksson, Kane, Dembele.

He brought Son, Alderweireld and got a tune out of Dele Alli (or perhaps more accurately, got a hungry Dele). Tbf he also got them playing nice football.

I really don't know whether he's a great manager or not. Getting Spurs to a CL final was a hell of an achievement, albeit they really rode their luck at times. In his 2 years at PSG, he only won one title which surely has to be seen as at least partial failure given the wild disparity of resources.

I agree with Term, this is a defining role for him. One thing I do know however, if he'd just been appointed Liverpool manager then I wouldn't be happy. Not at all.

Yeah when the fee comes years after the signings people forget i guess until you look up the year they had to pay the fee.

I've spoken to the good Spurs posters (yes, there are some) on this and it's a total blind spot. The amount they've spent on fullbacks alone is incredible. But the insistence is Levy is tight.

Naby, the last spot is waiting for you.

The draft is 7.30 tonight too.

Won't make the draft live, I have parents evening at my kids school tonight and if I tell the Mrs I'm skipping that to play fantasy draft then I suspect the kick will be so hard that it'll take 3 weeks for my nuts to drop back out of my body.

As long as I've got a prioritised list though, should be automatic right?
