I think it was desperation. Apparently we could not get permission to sign the defenders we wanted.

We only have Kolo and Ilori for tomorrow. Klopp doesn't want to use Sakho if he can help it as he feels he is not ready yet.

Just shows how poor our U21s are that we can't just bring a kid in to the team. When united had a defensive crisis they bought through McNair and Blackett.

I know it's come out of know where and it's a bit left field but I'm willing to give him a go and see how he gets on.

I actually thought he had a lot of potential when he was younger and would become a good player, just hasn't worked out for him. You never know, it could still well do in the future, central defenders peak at a much later age, but I doubt it.

As somebody else mentioned, he has all the raw physical attributes to be very good. Unfortunately, he is crap.

Arro told me. He knows everything.

While he was telling me, he sold me a trip to Butlins Minehead for £300, which made him £6,500 in commission.

With returns like that he should consider becoming a football agent. Imagine how much he'd make from flogging Drinky to Barcelona for £65m!

That's a fair point.

I think Dan Cleary is seen as the pick of the U21 centre halves and guess what, he's injured

We don't have a lot at centre halfs though.

Lloyd Jones is on loan and not good enough, probably sold in the summer.

Stewart the utility player is nowhere near a PL centre half.

Brewitt and Masterson are next in line but they just 18 and 17 which is very young for a centre half, Masterson was on the bench at Exeter. Brewitt has been injured as well

Then there is Polgar the 19 yr old Hungarian, and guess what, he's been injured most of the season
