Defence is more of a 4 or 5 in my opinion.

We’ve played 4 games this season, including 3 teams likely to be top 8 teams. We’ve been reduced to 10 men in 2 of those. We’ve conceded 3.

Now I accept that 4 games is too short of a timeframe but even last year when we were an unmitigated shambles we only conceded 4 more than title contenders arsenal.

4 or 5 out of ten is overly harsh imo

Yep 4 games is too few and I’d say the number of goals we conceded was mainly as a result of having the best goalkeeper in the world between the sticks.

4 or 5 is right in my opinion anyway.

Fair enough, football is about opinions.

Out of interest, if we’re 4 or 5 then how would you rate the likes of Everton, Bournemouth, Notts Forest, Luton, West Ham, Wolves. Surely all are significantly worse than us?

I’ll check it out. I also used Parmesan cheese on to the one I did today.

Try pecorino as alternate 2 parmesan

I’ve done some proper chefing and made Prawn Saganaki. Love a bit of Greek….

Though I’m doing a retro desert…. Got a steamed ginger sponge on the go atm…..

Anyone remember the tinned steamed puddings in the 80’s?!

What would everyone rate our squad strength atm then out of 10?

GK - 10
DEF - 6
MID - 8
ATK - 9

So 33/40

GK - Clearly non better than Ali, back up in the highly talented and rated Kelleher. Adrian we all know is a waste of 60k and a non HG spot but apparently a good cheerleader.


Think def would get more from an attacking view prob an 8+, creativity, on the ball, set piece threat etc. But hard to not downgrade it based on what we've seen for the last year or so from defensive POV. And the lack of potential cover due to injury concerns etc.

Midfield - Very talented and stocked issue is balance with only Endo really being seen as a true defensive minded MF. Also age, a lot of that mf is extremely young, although experienced with leadership qualities.

ATK - i mean prob not much better out there, still room for improvement and to see if we can find a settled 3 that can produce what the famous 3 of MFS produced for us.

At worst, our defence has gone from a 9 to an 8.

I’ll eat lasagne, but it’s not something I’m that keen on tbh. Think it’s the white sauce I’m not overly keen on.

Prawn cocktail is another ‘tolerance’. Love prawns and the sauce (as long as it’s made properly with a strong flavour of Worcestershire sauce) but it’s the lettuce that irritates me. Got to be the most pointless food out there.

Yeah so when I get a lettuce it needs to be not to hard. So you can give it a good squeeze and it bounces back.

Also I don’t like the white bits, just the crispy green bits.

Then whether it’s in a salad, prawn cocktail, or sandwich I cut it really fine. So fine it always gets commented on when we have guests.
