Yeah not sure they'll be able to deny not cooperating when the ones bringing the charge are who they needed to cooperate with.
There's no way anyone at any of these governing bodies never knew
It will be a huge fine which is a nice bonus for the PL and FA. They can finally pay off Wembley.
After that it is anyone's guess. Title stripping, points deductions, CL ban should happen but you never know.
Pep did say he will resign if guilty so another tick.

Well the verdict is expected around the same time as the end of his contract.
If there's any justice they'll have titles stripped, be relegated and have a transfer ban, but they'll probably just be fined and have a 20 point deduction which will mean nothing as they'll still get European football even with that.

his rant did what exactly, change his tactics, the players absorbed it and manifested into sh 1te? nah we just drew some games likely due to a poor squad outside the first xi
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think the argument is that the rant (rightly or wrongly) demonstrated a pressure within the club. That the stress of leading was getting to the manager. And it spurred Utd on, they gained confidence.
Either way, after the press conference Utd won 17 of their last 20 games. And we went on our worst run of the season - dropping 11 points in 7 games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
United were on a 14 game run of clean sheets picking up 17 points out of 21 at the time of the rant. Liverpool had drawn their past four games and therefore were seven points behind with two games in hand.
The issue with that season was simply they were able to turn close games where they played badly into wins by bringing attackers off the bench and Liverpool had Ngog, since Crouch had left for games and Keane was sold six months after joining having just hit form.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought the rant happened before the run of draws? I could be wrong, it was a long time ago and I was in my drinking prime
Either way, doesn’t really matter. That Utd squad was arguably their strongest in the EPL era. Just couldn’t compete with their strength in depth.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just looked it up. Seems like it was two draws out of four before and three out of four after. Ultimately we took 41 points out of 54 after the rant and 45 out of 60 before the rant. Our form didn't change at all.

We're talking about whether the rant cost us the league so the whole season comes into scope. Surely league titles are won by squads, managers, tactics, fitness etc. Stop this silliness. This comment demonstrates how ridiculous it is to even suggest that or discuss it.
Don't blame Rafa for missing out in 08/09 0 he'd built an excellent team and earned some memorable wins but it wasn't enough. Main issue from my memory is we were rubbish against low-blocks which is why we drew so many games against weaker opposition
In other news Hendo trying to escape to Ajax now
He lost a lot of the goodwill he'd built-up chasing a very large payday and now he discovers it wasn't worth it, and it will probably not even be tax free for him. Still feel a little sorry for him, he couldn't handle being a squad member after being our captain and it's cost him. That said, he was still our most successful captain of the PL era so I will always like him

Again missing the point as per usual. We were only discussing the rant impact. When the rant happened we might have had the odd player out but not like 5-6 players out. We had just smoked Newcastle 5-1 and things were looking promising.
Rafa did his rant, players were like WTF while Fergie used it as a tool to getting his team more focused. Rafa was apparently cracking up and all that. 6 points dropped and United said thank you very much.

How many apps did Torres even make that season? Why are you focus I on just those three games? Did we lose the title because of those three games?
This is some special sheet.

The discussion was about the Rafa rant yesterday and its impact. No one is talking about the whole season. I just proved that his rant had an impact on the team and the results prove that

3 draws against crap sides plus FA cup exit after the rant did allow United to overtake us and we never caught them after that.
Quite a few players from era including Gerrard have said that he felt embarrassed after that rant.

What we didn't have injuries or any other logical explanation apart from this claptrap?

I though we only drew those three v.ganes after the rant. You mean we drew other games? Whose rant is to blame for those other draws which didn't cost us the title?
