Dom is brilliant for Hungary but doesn’t seem to be the same for us. Not sure if it’s the way Klopp likes to play his midfield 3, with their work rate, but yeah he’s been frustrating. Like a lot of the team, he’s too casual at times and needs to step up with Jones back and Elliott performing so well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I said he was out of form before the game on the thread and got the usual fruity responses
He was awful today, should have been hooked much earlier. Too casual on the ball, passing absolutely shiiiit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He either under hits it or overhits the pass.

8 draws isn’t good enough this season it must be said. Happens a lot under Klopp for some reason. Don’t lose many but draw too many.

How did Casimero escape a red at the end? He went with force to take out Diaz and took his ankle. From the free kick he then wins the header.

To be where we are with a brand new midfield, injuries galore, kids playing in key defensive positions for most of the season and not having our goalkeeper who is the best in the world is pretty staggering.
We just appear to be losing form at the wrong time in front of goal. We should have scored 4 or 5 today. Onana, Maguire and Kwambala was their defence and we couldn’t score from open play it’s laughable.
Arsenal appear to be very much picking up now but are so measured whenever you watch them. Completely in control at the back and finishing their chances. They wouldn’t get anywhere near as many chances as we did today but the important thing is they wouldn’t need them to put the game to bed.
2-0 at half time and we walk away with three points. We looked nervy for so much of the game, not seeing that from Arsenal which is a surprise.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Losing firm in front of goal? We've scored more than City this season.
You can't be going on about the attack in a game we scored two goals. We still didn't win because we also conceded two goals which is where I feel the focus should lie.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We had 28 shots and couldn’t score from open play. The issue is absolutely with the attack.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The issue is the attack for this one game or for Liverpool football club?
We still scored two goals in this particular game and have scored the most goals this season along with City and Arsenal.
Goal scoring has never really been a problem under Klopp.
Szobo, Gakpo, Grav and even Mac at the start of the season faced criticism.
People need to understand it's still their first season in a new country and a new league.
Every time we don't win we take out our frustrations on one of them. Usually Gakpo but he redeemed himself with his pressing when he came in so people have to find other escape goats.
I’m not sure there are too many issues when we’re on 71 points and have only lost three games all season, is there?

Well we’re not getting relegated Robbing but these issues are what could stand in the way of us getting first over second or third. These aren’t United style glaring weaknesses but weaknesses (lack of composure being the key one) compared to the other two sides chasing the title.
I mean you’re right, Utd did produce two fantastic finishes and grabbed a draw.
I guess it comes down to expectation and whether you feel us possibly not being the best team on the planet s acceptable.

I don’t think being acceptable is what anybody is on about. We’re just pointing out “issues” that might need to be addressed in order to win the title.
If we come third and 5 points off City and Arsenal it’s still a fantastic season.
Disappointing but it could have been a worse result. Imagine if kelleher had saved the Fernandes shot and got sent off.
That would have meant Adrian in goal for the rest of the game, and also for our next game if Ali wasn’t back.

Tbh I don’t think any of the issues discussed are getting solved in the next 7 games. Composure certainly isn’t, not with the pressure of a 3 way title fight and every game scrutinised in detail. It’s usually something that comes with experience.
Personally my hopes are pinned on two areas - returning players and CL distraction. Get Ali, TAA and Jota back and our experience, creativity and finishing all increase. Significantly so with Ali.
I still think all 3 teams will drop more points. If we can win 6 or the last 7 that’s puts us on 89 or 90 points. That’s a hell of a total and if either team can beat it then they’ll have earned the league. Let’s just finish strong.
We all feel angry cos this is Klopps last season and we want him to win everything. If Klopp was not leaving then this season would have been classed as a ahead of schedule title run and it's just to be good in the race but now the fekin players need to do this for Klopp.
We need an Arsenal bottlejob from here
Yesterday was highly frustrating for obvious reasons but to be honest we've always struggled at OT. We've only won twice there under Klopp and one of those was with no fans during Covid.
I think the bigger mess up regarding United this season was not winning at Anfield.

Tbh, I'm still more fearful of City. They've been here and done it. Experience is more valuable than GD imo.
9 goals is a lot to make up but it's also possible given we have 7 games. That too I can see Arsenal being content with 1-0/2-0 wins until the end of the season given how strong they are defensively.
Just need our forwards to remember how to finish.
Just seeing the Bruno goal again. Quansah had a easy 10 year pass to Mo who was free and ignored him. Then had the safe pass back to Kelleher but instead had a brain fade. Doesn't matter how young you are but that was just stupid.
Doubt he will do that again.
