I don't understand the financial benefit of this, surely there will be more tickets sold in Spain where all the supporters actually live and there are bigger stadia?
Not really, there are millions of Barcelona fans in the US, and some massive stadiums too.

The game is in Miami and the hard rock stadium seats 40k less than the Noucamp.
But what I didn’t realise is that Barcelona are playing their games at the Olympic Stadium which makes more sense.

Ticket prices. US cowboys, hillbillies and city slickers willing to pay a fortune. They would need fewer fans to make what they would back home. It wouldn't just be another game, it would be an occasion. Also positions La Liga to obtain like creative deals.
To be honest I expect in a few years time the prem will have gone the same way, something like every team having to play one home game and away game in the US per season.

Prime time slot in the US could have massive audiences. Networks will think they can sell advertising for a ton and so will pay a lot for the rights to broadcast. That’s where the money will be imo, not ticket sales.

The context of the query I was responding to is based on stadia and capacity, so ticket prices was relevant in that respect.
There's also subscriptions to be sold. Of course the real money is in TV. In addition to what you said they'll be reaching a global audience and can really sell the ad space at high cost.

We live in an age of acute capitalism. Money calls the shots and no one can escape selling out to the money. There's a lot more international fans and the potential for growth internationally is mind boggling. Local or native fans are a finite group of people, an income stream that's been stretched as far as possible and is no longer sufficient. International deals have been bringing in more money to the Prem than local deals. Local or native fans contribute less than half of the league's TV revenue.
All this and the international market hasn't even begun to get tapped. We are at like 10% of the possible penetration, so much more money to be made. All capitalistic endeavours must keep feeding or cease to exist. There's no stagnancy. Either keep growing or die. What did people expect would happen?
how has international deals brought in more money? were made to pay 100s to watch footy here, in america etc they can watch literally every game for 10 bucks a month?

Correction, we are made to pay 100s to watch about 20% of the games...
Wait till Saudi offer something ridiculous for Liverpool V Man U
44% domestic, 56 % international. Crazy considering abroad they pay much less. I reckon if they charged in the uk what they charge abroad theyd make more too, itd cut out most of the piracy too.

Because it's not just the USA it's the whole world as a market compared to just English football fans. With money as the priority there's only one winner. Over half the revenant now comes from the international market. There is no prem without it anymore.
I've seen instances in some parts of the middle east and Africa where you can get ALL Prem games for about £2.50 a month
yeah one British fan is paying in some cases up to 40-50 times more than one international fan for a fraction of the games. And they wonder why piracy is so high
My mate in Oz gets Optus sports as part of his phone contract (Optus is a big Telco out there). Package is obviously tailored to the Aussie market because most people are in bed when the games are live but he wakes up to full replays of every game and short/extended highlights packages on demand with MOTD style analysis. Think it costs a few bucks a month as a phone contract add on.

Not seen the underlying details but I'd expect the NBC streaming deal does generate a tonne of revenue if if it's then sold on quite cheaply to consumers. US is 5 times bigger than the UK by population and they have higher disposable income on average, obvious market to try and tap right if you're an owner or governing body
