I keep on reading rumours that Mo has signed a 2 year extension, but as expected, nothing on the OS
It's cropped up on at least 3 different FB pages.

Gordon can actually play across the front three, which is why I wanted him (plus his pace).
Look at his assist for Isak the other week. Beautiful cross from the right.
He’s also played centrally for Newcastle last year when both Wilson and Isak were injured and did a very good job.
He’s a good player.

Gordon has his one good game against us to prove a point of us getting rid of him, then does nothing much. Still way too inconsistent for me.
But Diaz still frustrates the life out of me aswell. Still has no composure in the final third, plays with his head down too much which results in basically no assists.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think that’s my issue, a case of getting fed up of Diaz rather than particularly wanting Gordon. Nunez gets far more stick that Diaz, mainly because his faults are far more obvious, but in their time here I’m not sure that Diaz’s returns are much better than Nunez’s.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah Diaz actually has a worse conversion rate than Nunez somehow, Nunez just gets more chances so it's highlighted more.
23/24 Diaz was 8.5%, Nunez was 10.3%

Harvey Barnes:

Just in case the excuse that he plays for Newcastle comes out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How much space did Salah, Mane or anyone else have at Roma, or any other club? Nearly all the clubs get more space than Liverpool so going by your logic we would never sign anyone. Sounds like you're squirming to me.
You front players like Marmoush and other players most people haven't even heard of on here but then don't want Gordon? That's amazing to me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Marmoush is a striker. Jota has been injured and Nunez isn't firing, you can understand if people want him. Gordon plays on the left where we have two better players already.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What does playing position have to do with the point I made? It's more about the calibre of player Liverpool should look at. Also, we have two excellent keepers and still signe Mama.
Also, I said players like Marmoush, that's a generalisation and an example. Kash fronts many more obscure players on here who are far less proven than the likes of Gordon.
Furthermore, his argument is that Gordon gets more space at Newcastle and would struggle at Liverpool. How does that argument work for Marmoush, Salah, Mane and other players he fronts? I don't think Stuttgart get less space than Newcastle, leave alone Liverpool.
There's nothing wrong with preferring one player over another but consistency in criteria and simply making sense are also important.

Other than saying we have been linked to Marmoush, I have not ever said that we should be signing him. I don't think it is wise to have 2 forwards going to the AFCON for starters and I don't watch Bundesliga.
Gordon I watch all the time and he is very basic. He does not have the tech which Salah, Mane have/had to go with the pace. He will struggle against a low block or a full back who does not attack. Like I showed yesterday Barnes has played less than have the minutes Gordan has played and he has better G/A. He is having a basic season for a basic player. I want players who improve what we already have and this player is not that guy.
posted 11 hours, 7 minutes ago
I like Gordon and think he's be great under Slot, but we need a striker because LWF is one position where we have real quality in depth with Diaz, Gakpo and Jota. We do however need a striker, but I expect the club to look at that in the summer, with Nunez not really working out. We desperately need cover for Gravenberch though and a CB would be lovely given Quansah' fragility after his brilliant breakthrough season.
