Probably. Tbh I reckon he’s been told about the Diaz dive and just evened it up.
Far too much chat about refs on here imo. We do more than okay decision wise.

Gonna be a very tough game tomorrow night I reckon. Forest have won their last 5 without conceding a goal in the process.
One of the many conspiracy theories Arsenal fans have been crying about this season is us getting lucky with the fixture list playing teams when out of form, certainly can't argue that tomorrow.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well yeah, obviously. But I really don't think that was a difficult one to get right. Perhaps I'm being harsh but I don't see it as a 50-50 call or a 'gave the ref a decision to make'. It's a flat out dive and the ref is in a great position.
Bit of a shocker imo.

Felt the weekends fixture smacked of refs becoming over reliant on VAR but at the same time, we’ve seen those decisions given for decades. It’s not new.

That was my first reaction actually - are the EPL refs too reliant on VAR.
But I remember reading a piece on the impact of VAR on german referees and the analysis showed the refs gave fewer decisions because they knew VAR was there to catch errors. So based on that behaviour, giving a decision would be less likely.
i dont think VAR overturns the pen vs Utd. Theres some contact lol
The thing with the refs is, with all the technology available, there shouldn't be any mistakes.

Trouble is many portray judgement calls as mistakes.
I personally wouldn't view yesterday as a judgement call, yesterday was a flat out error imo. But I guess others will see it differently. Although tbf, I hadn't seen any contact at all on my first watch. Just looked a pure dive to me.
I have a good feeling about the Forest game, we saw some much more energetic performances from the likes of Trent at the weekend and I think it shows that there was something amiss within the camp for the Spurs and United games.
We should be past that now, and I think if we play well, we beat Forest regardless of their good form. I sense this is a game that Slot really wants to win too.
Forest defend as good as anybody though and with wood as a target man elanga/cho wide theyre a threat. Just hope we turn up, think we'll have to be good for the entire 90 pretty much to get a win, not just one half.

Just seen the highlights of the Utd v Arsenal game. How on earth was that penalty awarded?!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought it was a penalty personally. No attempt to play the ball, put his arm across the attacker. Subjective if contact was enough of course and soft but penalty for me.
Having Konate back for Forest is important, especially in the transitions. A Grav, Mac and Szobo midfield should be good enough to get the win. We’ve missed Dom hugely, glad to see him back.
This a Nuno low-block we're talking about. Might be the most boring game of the season
