If there was an award for hitting the ball straight at the keeper then there is no better player than Nunez. At least commentators can't come out with the line that we have not had a shot on target.

The worst part is we know Nunez has though finesse and composed finishes in him but some reason he chooses to power through every shot. Head is gone completely

Nunez is a weird one, because he either hits it as hard as he can straight at the keeper, or tries to be so precise he his the post or bar.

Can’t see to just stay calm and slot it in. Doesn’t have to be perfect but just right or left of the keeper. Comes down to a bit of luck aswell sometimes and he doesn’t get much of it, for how hard he works.

If you look at older videos of him at Almeria and excluding that one season at Benfica...there's plenty of shots where he just powers through it but scores (probably down to the quality of keepers)

So it's his style imo and it's not working. Needs to be sold

He often has a chance when through on the keeper to just go to the side of the keeper and slot in. I've seen him doing it once and with his pace he should be able to do it often. Owen was the master of that. Should watch some videos.

Although I think it's confidence now.

I've always thought you could turn Nunez into Torres but he doesn't have the situational intelligence to play that way.

By the way, is it just me or has Endo shown he can be more than just a 5 minute cameo in the odd game?

Very capable and selfless player, I really wish we'd play him more to keep Gravenberch fresh.

I think Nunez would be perfect in a 2 up top but that isn't going to happen much these days.

Would be less pressure on him to score, he tends to get a decent number of assists, and he has quite good chemistry with Jota and Salah.

Him running the line and stretching the defence whilst his strike partner drops deeper would probably work quite well.

There are not only two players who play the 6 role who can pass the ball and carry it forward and not just break up play. No idea where you got that from. So the argument is with yourself, with your own made up scenario.

He’s got it from us not signing anyone after utterly failing with Zubimendi.

As said, we’ll see Elliot Anderson tomorrow, who moved this summer.

Apparently he's not the profile anymore...but with Endo's future still undecided, he'll make for a great replacement

Although he wants first team football...can see him ending up at PSG maybe. Utd should be all over him tbh

Anderson is a good player but I'm not sure he's quite at the standard we're looking for.

One thing it has proved is that you don't need to buy a replica of Zubi when Grav has proved that you can be coached into that role.
