I find it strange that City are not all over Zubimendi considering their issues in there but again possibly as they want somebody in this window.

The reporting last year was that Zubi didn't fancy City because he didn't want to be Rodri's understudy for both club and country.

Doesn't seem to have the stomach for the fight. Does make me wonder about whether he'd consider us on the same basis now. Would be fancy a fight with Grav for the shirt?

In fairness at Arsenal, his path is more obvious imo. Zubi, Rice and Ode is great on paper.

I can understand that with Rodri but if he thinks he can't put up a fight with Gravenberch who's had half a season in the role then he mustn't have much confidence in himself. Although I suppose if there are issues about him moving away from home, his former teammate being at Arsenal would make it easier for him.

However if that's true I'd also see that as a negative.

What makes you think that? Why would the club be stopping slot from adding to the squad especially with the position we are in?

I’m yet to meet a manager from any sector who doesn’t want more, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a new manager of an Elite club backed so poorly, so that basically.

FSG do the same in Boston tbh, they don't sign the biggest players in the market, they go for compromises like Buehler in the recent market.

The fans aren't keep on Henry anymore, and the Red Sox have been poor for a few years considering it's the 3rd or 4th biggest team in the league.

They have a lot of input in them though, since they know baseball. It's been years now since they had that sort of input at Liverpool. Nearly all their people have since been replaced by football people who make the decisions.

We desperately need an alternative to Gravenberch in this window. He' playing far too much football. It's obvious that Arne doesn't see Endo as having the skillset he wants for that position.

Zubi to Arsenal is a sore one, considering how close the deal was in the summer. Richard Hughes appears to have the easiest job in the world. Picks up a fat wedge for doing next to nothing.

Are their Red Sox apologists who insist it isn’t even FSG making the decisions anyway.

Unless it’s a left winger when we have 3 lined up on the books at all times.

The only bad thing about zubi to arsenal is that we'lll have to listen to 'rejected fc' blah blah blah even though we havent gone back in for him

I'm frustrated less now that he is going there in the summer. That will not impact this season so our closest rival currently have not strengthened this window.

I am slightly surprised that he's prepared to commit to Arsenal now rather than wait to see what he's options are in the summer.

Ancelotti may well be in his last season at RM for example, I'd imagine Zubi would be a great fit for Alonso.

There doesn't really seem to be any sense in committing early.

Yeah you’re probably right.

I do think he'll move but equally there in the same situation we were last season where he'd indicated he was happy to leave but couldn't actually pull the plug in the end.

Would be quite funny if he does it again this summer.
