Don't really get your point. It's pretty common knowledge everyone hates Liverpool due to ridiculpus arrogance and a sense of entitlement that should have worn off decades ago.

Yet again Liverpool end the season as failures yet articles like this make it seem as if they've actually won trophies

We're glad to be back challenging… like we always used to. What's he said that's incorrect? Opposition fans hate that we've had a terrific season with the smallest budget of the two other competitors.

Rusky and Hippo doing well to show the OPs point.

Bitterness is like cancer,it'll slowly eat away at you.

Well done those two driving home the op's point.

Well if this is your measure of a terrific season, play on!

Fraid I don't recognise what you're going on about - bar perhaps Man U fans. Firstly it's not true that all neutrals love Liverpool. Neither is it rue that everyone resents your success. You played fantastic football this year, deserve you CL place and were unlucky not to win it. Bring it on next season.

Fair play for putting a positive spin on things

Liverpool have had a great season, but the job is now to keep it up...you can go from heroes to a joke in a space of a season, wouldn't be getting too cocky just yet

Generally it seems people resent those doing well and enjoy people failing, schadenfreude I believe it's called.

When it looked like we might win the bile came out. I suspect if we'd always been 15 point behind City and had fought for 2nd we probably would have been more popular.

This season will mean nothing if we don't push on and consistently challenge but the improvement has been tremendous.

Wenger's mind games seem to be working, the Arsenal mentality appears to be rubbing off!

What mind games are these then?

It's strange isn't it, all we've been hearing for years is that Liverpool can't compete for top players because we can't offer CL football but yet we're not supposed to be happy that we can now do that.

As it's pretty easy to go from 7th to 2nd we'll all look forward to seeing Utd do the same next year.

If they don't I'm sure it'll all be down to Wengers mind games

United will go from 7th to 1st.

It's that easy for a new manager to transform a squad overnight

Remember: no European football too..

Yeah you are right Insert, they should do the domestic treble

We are proud of our team and our club's efforts this year, seems thats just not on to oppo fans???
What a strange bunch we are!
We leave plastic-ness to others, cos we could never perfect it like some,we're no match in that department thats true!

Those that lead people to be content with a top 4 place!

Its ironic that the OP and fellow Liverpool fans are happy with 2nd and calling it a fantastic season, yet at the same time laughing at Arsenal for finishing 4th again.

Obviously finishing 2nd is better than finishing 4th but you dont get a trophy for finishing 2nd

Liverpool have done well this season, there's no doubt about it, but at the same time the lack of European football (& getting knocked out of the domestic cups relatively early) played a huge part.

Next season will be much tougher, with Champs lge and everyone giving Liverpool much more respect, expect a lot more teams to park the bus against you. And we'll see just how good a manger BR is.

It should be very interesting, good luck
