Just so it doesn't come as a coplete shock to you if it does happen but i hear we would consider selling Oscar too.

Maybe something in the range of £70m for both?

The other thing we will need to keep in mind is that PSG are in a bit of trouble at the moment and will have to sell to buy so i am not overly convinced that they can seriously make a bid for both.

£70m I was thinking £40m/£50m.

I think Chelsea could improve with that sort of money, and with the FFP going on Chelsea will need to sell to buy the likes of Costa.

I think Oscar is in the firing line, I don't want him to go though.

PSG can not afford to spend so much on players, they have broken FFP this year and will be punished if they continue to spend spend spend the punishments will get worse.

Maybe a swap deal with Cavani is on the cards?

I was also realistically thinking about not less then 65-75 mil.
Oscar very easily 40 mil and luiz 30. both play for club and country for last few years in first 11 so realistically speaking 70 mil is just about right even Oscar ended his season very poorly which I think was due to world cap in his country./avoid any serious injury/, the same think goes for whole Brazilian contingent in our club.

£40m for Oscar

considering his age, potential, work rate and Chelsea don't need to sell another reason- 40 mil is about right.

If the two have a good world cup, which i think they will Id expect about 70-80 for the pair.

PSG spend for pastore 40 mil eur, according to tranfermarket Oscar value is about 34 mil eur so if psg has serious interest in Oscar then 45 mil eur is price I would sell him with no problem and reinvest wisely.

Busby - its not a matter of his market value rather how much we value him. so 40m really shouldn't surprise you. i assumed it was false indignation though

Busby - We got Luiz for £25m and Oscar for £19.5m

we would want a decent profit on both especially as they are both still young, Oscar even more so.

It's not as though we need to sell them either. Saying that I think this story is aload of ballacks. PSG are about to be fined by UEFA for FFP breaches. If anything they need to sell, not us.

That £54m we got for De Bruyne and Mata should do nicely for a while.

Oscar is a cracking player, young too. Why let him go

We wouldn't get £40m for Oscar, but could get £30-35m for Luiz, especially if he does well. Oscar will be £30m at most when you consider what Ozil, Gotze, Mata etc. went for.

It depends on what Jose wants to do with the squad though, surely?

Other than PSG nobody is going to cknsoder the numbers you guys are talking about for the pair, they simply aren't that good

Luiz hasn't improved since you have signed him, he is still a wrecking ball ready to get sent off or give away a goal.

Oscar is a player I like, but again hasn't shown and real improvement since signing (other than upper body strength).

Just my opinion but you'd be fleecing anybody who gives you £70m for the pair. PSG may well be stupid enough though.

£150million for both of them or $300 million in dollars (as per the exchange rate and all that gas)

I agree to a degree but your comment about Luiz always being liable to getting sent off warrants a question. How many times in his Chelsea years has David Luiz got recklessly sent off?

Doesn't mean he shouldn't have been though does it? Every time I see him play he does something reckless, he is a very dirty player and I know that's not nice to hear about your players, but it's true.

He may be dirty but he's a good player who has attracted the attention of a very rich club.
Roy Keane was a dirty player. Did you want him out of the club Busby? If your old enough to remember Nobby Stiles was a hatchet man with little else to offer but these two did important jobs although Keane could play tbf

This would be great news. If we could sell Oscar for 30 and luiz for 10 I'd be happy.

If we do this we seriously need to look at ourselves as a club. If we sell Oscar who exactly will we replace him with? A 27/28 midfielder at their peak at more or less the same fee we would get for Oscar? I remember a young lad we bought from West Ham, his first 2 season werent too bad but he was young and we stood by him and helped him grow, over 10 years later he is still at the club after he become a team legend. Why oh why would we sell one of our top prospects because he had a quiet 6 months? Lets be honest we know Hazard will leave at some point but who else can you say at the moment has the potential that Oscar does very few. Stupid stupid idea. Luiz on the other hand i dont know. Good versatile player who atm is our best partner for matic. Though that being said one of him and mikel need to leave. I think the days of Luiz as a cb at CFC are over

Interesting point and I do agree with the principle.

Having said that I don't think that Oscar will ever be another Super Frank.

If we were to get a stupid money offer from PSG this summer then I'd be tempted.

The question we have to ask is why did Oscar fall away so badly this season?

We can't afford to carry players through large chunks of the season like we've done with Oscar in the second half of this season.

Oscar has played close to 200 games in 2 years. This will be his 4th year in a row where he doesn't get the summer off. Previously he had the U21 WC, then the Olympics, then the Confederations Cup and now the WC. He has been playing without a break for so long that fatigue and tiredness would inevitably end up affecting his performances.

He is extremely talented and it isn't a coincidence that our team was at it's best when Oscar was performing. I think it would be very silly to let him go considering he could become one the best players in the world in his position.
