I just saw this,
Sad to see him go, but the time is right.
Rio
He's past it now, the time had to come
One of the most composed and technically great centre backs I've ever seen but the time is right for both the player and club.
£30m for 12 years - Worth every penny!
Rio.. would have been better if he left last year on a high. This season has just been a massive flop for him
What a player he's been, part of the best CB pairing in Europe for a good 3 years with Vidic until injuries took their toll in both, sad to see 2 legends of the club departing
£30m for 12 years - Worth every penny!

Definitely!
Rio was the best CB in the world between 2006-08
Best CB of the Premier League era? I would say so
Evra's not getting a new deal. He'd have got one by now if he was. And the Shaw big confirms that for me. Evra won't play second fiddle to an 18yr old.
The club must be really confident that their targets are in the bag this summer.
We're losing 3 of our most influential players who have all captained the side.
Could end in tears too
Saddest to see Paddy go what a player and what a wind up merchant, a proper character

wish vida was staying though
Rio Ferdinand says: "Circumstances didn't allow me to say goodbye the way I would have liked"
Surely, he'll get some sort of testimonial game?
Used to like himtill all thewith England
Ferdinand: "I have thought long and hard over the last few months about my future, and after 12 fantastic years playing, for what I regard as the best club in the world, I have decided the time is right for me to move on."
"I joined #MUFC in the hope of winning trophies, and never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined how successful we would be during my time here. There have been so many highlights, playing alongside some great players who have become good friends, winning my first Premier League title and also that fantastic night in Moscow are memories that I will cherish forever."
"Circumstances didn’t allow for me to say goodbye the way I would have liked but I’d like to take this opportunity to thank my team mates, staff, the club & the fans for an unbelievable 12 yrs that I’ll never forget."
"I am feeling fit and healthy, ready for a new challenge and looking forward to whatever the future holds for me”
that's his full statement
Chelsea signed Diego Costa?!
Time's right, great footballer in his pomp but sadly no more, enjoy the world of social media rio old chap
