Vela or Podolski

Vela has good finishing ability and has good individual ability too. Should go for him. With his technical ability and finishing skills, if he can play up top on his own he'll score loads.

Vela the more talented player for sure but Podolski is a lot more effective and reliable.

I would take Vela back for the reported fee then flog him off instantly at a profit to some club stupid enough to pay double figures for him.

I would take Vela. For that price it is little risk.
His exile from the national squad is a massive bonus from his last spell, lost lots of opportunities due to travelling to Americas and back.
Would also keep JC. Having Ox, Theo, Carlito and JC as real pace options (with 3 also able to play up front) from wide areas would be a quality mix to add to Özil and SantiCaz.
We have the squad space to accommodate all 4 as well.

DJ, what's the dealio with JC? Will he get his work permit for next season?

I have to say, stunning goal against United aside, I haven't seen anything special from him.

I'd take Vela back and if one had to be sold, I'd sell Pod.

Vela never adapted in London, couldn't learn the language, didn't track back, lost lot of ball trying to much on his own. That's why he was sold and that's why he isn't coming back

He already had it. Scored a fair few stunning goals over the last two years, albeit some of the best being in international friendlies (check out the one v Paraguay if you want).
Scored a fair amount in the Olympiakos team and made a lot of assists.
One of the more glowing indicators of his form of the last two years is both Olympiakos and Pepe Mel wanted to sign him again for next season.

DSV, I am sure you are happy to judged on what you were as a teenager for the rest of your career, whatever you do.
Imagine going for promotion and being told no because when you were 19 you weren't good enough for the promotion.

People grow, people change and footballers mature.

We are one of the richest clubs in the world. You can never have too many players. Keep Podolski and bring Vela back.

Vela is good in Spain, he likes it there. I never liked his attitude. And DJ for Vela being new charakter now. Come on: This guy has decided not to compete in the 2014 World Cup for his country. He isn't mentally ready to represent Mexico in the World Cup. That is just abot right, what Arsenal need.

Vela didn't decide that out of the blue, he was banned for partying with tranny prossies and been outcasted since.
Hardly fair to criticise a man for standing up for his beliefs and feelings of injustice. No doubt he would be criticised if he did a u turn with the lure of a World Cup. His decision to stick to his principals shows maturity IMO.

DJ I like your postings too much to argue with you about Vela. Time will tell. In the end I hope You're right, he's back next season and scores load of goals.

I just think sometimes people forget the human aspect behind footballers decisions. Imagine going to a different country, that speaks a different language, has a different culture, at a very young age and being expected to be a mature adult and perform straight away.
To judge him on that, to me, seems very harsh. Better to judge him on what he has become in the last two or three years.
