MAsch wanted out as our club was being run by cowboys who were selling our best players.

I would take Masch back right away. I loved his passion which is very similar to Suarez's. He wants to win!!

He can play in Defence as well as midfield so would be a great player to have in the squad. he would be able to help the younger players like Hendo and Allen as well.

I could also get my old name back

Massive fan of Masch but not sure I'd take him back. He has nothing to prove, threw his toys out of the pram last time and will not be the right side of 30 next season. I'm quite certain he'd want big money so not sure he fits into what we're trying to achieve.

A lot depends on the money though, of course, but I'd surprised if we moved for him.

While he would well for gerrard in the sense that it's a midfield position operating usually deeper than the CBs, he hasn't got the passing range to be effective at it.

A no for me, that type of DM is fast becoming a relic, he would want high wages andbwould contribute nothing more than lucas already can in the same role, infact he would offer less in my opinion.

I would take Mascherano back, but only if Lucas was moved on.

We don't need three DM's, plus Hendo and Allen can cover that position as well.

Alonso wanted to leave also bit he's regarded as a saint. Many players wanted to leave when they saw what was going on at the club.

Well that's alright then!

He would add some defensive 'steel' to the midfield in games where we need someone strong and aggressive. I would certainly love to see him back.

I hold no grudge. Hes a top player and would add leadership, winning mentality, experience and steel in a key area of the pitch for us.

Definitely an upgrade on lucas and can be used as a proper alternative to Gerrard without weakening the team

We need someone with Gerrard in some games. The lack of pace in the middle is catching us out when the full backs are pushed up the pitch.

It is a work in progress but the balance was too offensive last season and at crunch times we were exposed.

Lucas has been a good player for us but isn't quick enough. We need dynamic pace in there especially when we need to shore up a game

Masch is a maybe but there must be alternatives out there as well
