RVP > Suarez and Sturridge

IMO any "inability" was in relation to Liverpool's defensive ability rather than anything Suarez contributed.

It's a flawed argument really. I think you know that though...?

Liverpool weren't expecting to launch a title challenge at all this season. The fact that they got so close was in no small part due to Suarez's performances.

However, his inability to fire Liverpool to the PL title will possibly haunt him forever

Suarez did everything he could do for Liverpool this season. It’s not his fault that his team-mates in defence were facking useless

This is surely a wum-fest.

A quick trawl the OP's page shows he doesn't seem to have nailed his colours to the mast with regards to any team.

Silly article from a silly OP.

I'm a journalist with a neutral viewpoint

Directly or indirectly wumming or not he makes a salient point

Utd would not have won the title with RVP, Liverpool despite Suarez didn't win the title, if you are able to break it down to those 2 points then I think he makes sense, to be fair I took a half day and have already started drinking so my cognitive skills are already impaired

No one player has ever single handedly won a team the title. If this OPs point was valid United would be 2013/14 champions as well, given RVP is still a part of that side.

Unless said player missed a good chunk of the season with injuries or a new manager changed the way he played?

I meant stripping back his main points to the basics then it does make sense, he was only comparing 2 players not 2 teams really and with hindsight, and another drink in me the OP might have been at the wum

But it's on the United board.

Penalty, I didn't even know I was either

I just enjoy articles that might wind up the Saurez fanboys and I throw verbal petrol over them, I now now drunk enough to be magnaimous and accept most of what I said is at best gibberish

Not this again

What's certain is that United wouldn't have won it without Fergie.

In 2012/2013 RVP did indeed score lots of goals; but by the same token his arrival led to fewer goals from Rooney. So, how great was the net effect to the team? Indeed, there are other negatives in RVP arriving. The team's attacking play became slower and the development of Welbeck and Hernandez was curtailed. I honestly think the impact of RVP has been overstated and that in the long run, it's done us some harm. (I also think that RVP was the first of the players to start sulking this season.)

In fact, I'd say the biggest reason United won the league in 2013 was Mancini - a hopeless manager who caused in-fighting within the most expensive team ever that gave the team to another that was weaker in most departments.

Van Persie pretends he is injured when he is unhappy

Suarez does not get injured.

"Suarez does not get injured."

There's an endless queue of football purists, just waiting to inflict his first one!

They have been trying to injure him for 2 seasons. He is too quick for them

He does get injured T Bone, badly sometimes, he just recovers at lightning speed.
