hope giggs wasnt foisted on van gaal which would have been ridiculous considering what happened with moyes and the free hand he was given last summer with his backroom staff.
Giggs, Neville, Scholes and Butt will also get Van Gaal sacked.
Nasty little clique of mediocre coaches.
No room for sentiment when your trying to be the best in the land.
Van Gaal should have fired the lot.
"van Gaal should have fired the lot "
You won't have to wait long !
Patrick Kluivert would have most likely been his number too, if not for Giggs.
Much happier with Giggs personally.
Also, Butt and Scholes will more than likely go back to working with the youth and reserve teams. P Neville can go and do the same too. Don't want him working with the first team though.
Ryan Giggs let everyone call him "Ryan" in his time in charge and admitted in interviews he had trouble sleeping over team selection.
Not the words of a manager.
United players don't need "Ryan the friend". Very surprised Van Gaal has given him a chance due to his usual style of regime.

I agree, not the words of a manager, but the words of a player who had been promoted to an awkward position which forced him to make decisions which would inadvertently affect his friends. Should LVG stay for, let's say 5 years, all the old guard will have moved on and he'll come in without the squad knowing every last detail about him - He can move from that awkward interim manager position, to being a true manager, not a friend.

Pundit,
I agree. This guy Van Gaal must have wanted this job really bad. Giggs best career path as a manager, if he has one, would be to start with league 2 team. The shadow of Fergie is still cast over Old Trafford.
LVG kept Mourinho on at Barca didn't he?? That worked out pretty well
Jose Giggs!
Guardiola
Simeone
Ferguson
Ancelotti
...apparently all used to be professional football players.
Nasty little clique of mediocre coaches.

one nasty remark there
Is their actually any evidence to backup the op's claims?
The OP was telling us yesterday that Van Gaal is a mercenary, I wouldn't take him seriously

Absolute bollx !!
Plenty of people within the club have seen enough of Giggsy to believe he has what it takes to be a top coach/manager. Time will tell, but why not draw on all that experience, knowledge of the club and it's players.
Can't just remove all foundations and hope to just be successful. LVG will be strict, have his blueprint for success and Giggs a defined role. If all goes well, in 3-5 years time Giggs would be ready to take over. It may not work out like that but it's a plan moving forward. SOme other club may make Giggs an offer to manage them like OGS and it may be too good to turn down after serving his time under LVG.
Good players do become good managers. A example is Sami Al Jaber. Excellent player excellent manager
I'm guessing this guy is a råt eating scouser, still upset that King Kenny didn't turn out to be the saviour after all
Giggs is there to facility the fans!
