An 'average' midfielder who got more goals and assists than both your 'world class' players, while also contributing more to the defensive side of the game and captaining his team

Yeah csnt believe gerrard isnt better than pirlo, hes been playing the role for so long..

So observant. Much intelligence.

Knew you lot would be over.

Gerrard stats come from penalties the FA tried to force on you. Stevie G isn't even your best midfielder anymore.

This isn't 2005 guys

Such Liverpool fans, much bite, wow!

posted on 22/5/14

Did his assists come from penalties too?

Im just saying people were acting like Gerrard created the deep ling role because he makes 3/50 special passes every now and then watch Pirlo and its 2nd nature to true passers like them. You guys should even know how this role is mastered as you once had Alonso.

Gerrard will bw at.fault for Englands failings I predict because he's an unfortunate loser like that these days but we will all have to show sympathy cos he cam do no wrong

What's wrong with getting assists from set pieces? If it is so easy to score them why did Arsenal only score 8 goals from set pieces?

posted on 22/5/14

Yeah lets discredit them because they are from set pieces or penatlies, great idea

Fact remains in his price, Cazorla and Ozil don't come close to touching Gerrard. At 33 hes still showing them how its done playing a new role as DM FFS A DM !!!!!

Wilshere reserved special praise for England teammate Steven Gerrard, saying: ‘His passing range is still amazing, the best in the Premier League.’

And Wenger was full of praise for the 33-year-old midfielder ahead of Sunday’s cup clash at Emirates Stadium.

“He is a huge player, Steven Gerrard,” said Wenger. “He’s always had a huge influence.

“If you look at the great results and great achievements of Liverpool over the last 10 or 15 years it’s always Gerrard who has turned the game.

“That sort of talent doesn’t vanish and remember he has more experience now. Yes, maybe he has less physical power than he had before but one compensates the other one.

“When players are intelligent they find a way to adapt to fewer physical resources and transform the knowledge they have into more efficiency on the pitch.”

Perhaps he just doesn't like the allegiance of fooking downers that support our club.

Ozil and Santi dream of emulating Gerrard. Forget the classiness they wish they could run around foul people complete to odd pass hit hopeless 30 yarders...... And wait for it..... slip

Hes basically saying his teams own manager is full of sh I t aswell as teams players, leave him to it if it helps him sleep at night because even they disagree with this clown.

Zlatan

So to do that one must blast Ozil, Kos and all good Arsenal players every week even when we win? Just shut it you moron

Mamadou
Key word being last 10-15 years. Crediting him for adapting his game also says it all that he's not the same player but is competent. No where near world class like Santi and Ozil
