“That sort of talent doesn’t vanish

So if you give credit to a player it means you think they're the best out there now?

I guess Zidane believed Scholes was greater than him oh and Messi. You can credit a player and rate him doesn't have to be anymore. When did Wenger say Gerrard is better than what we've got?

Here comes the trophyless Chelsea fan. Who agrees with sticking up for a supporter who drills his own team who would have thought it

again not very Observant more presumptive

it was in reference to this you cabbage, 'Gerrard is average now' in your OP.

Oh my days

Mamdou

It doesn't vanish it gradually declines or is Giggs still that tricky winger with blistering pace who didn't need to adapt his talents elsewhere??

He is average others rate him but he's cack now. See Chelsea game

posted on 22/5/14

You said he is average now, despite your own manager highlighting him as the biggest threat and praising him after he helped smash Arsenal 5-0 and before the cup game. And your own player said he has the best passing range in the league still.

Go argue with them

you can say what you want about Gerrard, but for me being 22, I have watched this man pretty much my entire life for Liverpool. I think your opinion on Gerrard is absurd as well damn right wrong but you are entitled to it.

Gerrard has given me some of my greatest moments of being a football fan, like the champions league in 2005, fa cup 2006, the 3 0 at united this season, the 3 o against everton 2 years ago, league cup final goal against united and well just countless great european nights. He has scored some of my favourite goals of all time and has captained the club I love for over a decade now.

What memories ike that have Cazorla and Ozil provided?

Being quite honest, I would not swap Gerrard for anyone because of that, he epitomises Liverpool football club.

So ye what memories like that have Cazorla and Ozil provided like that?

Zlatan

So to do that one must blast Ozil, Kos and all good Arsenal players every week even when we win? Just shut it you moron

Well yes, clearly that is the easiest way of winding up all the mongs that support our club. Judging by this article and your reaction, it clearly works.

Bigging up Gerrards pass makes the statement perfectly clear are we talking 05 or 2014??

For your info I've always believed Gerrard > Scholes > Lampard. But now he suxxxxx and is a loser or the unlucky guy and that bad luck will transfer to England

As pointless as it is to comment on this thread that's just turning into a slinging match, I'd probably say currently.

Ozil > Gerrard > Cazorla

Personally I would rather have Ozil and I think he'll show his true talent a lot more next season, rather than in glimpses.

Gerrard in his prime beats them both though. Although Ozil could very well out do his career, I don't think he'll be remembered in anywhere near the same way given his playing style compared to Gerrard's and the fact that he's already playing in his 3rd country. Although they are things that will possibly make him a better footballer than Gerrard when he peaks.

I mentioned a couple of moments from the last couple of years if you reread the comment an not nit pick the part that suits your argument. Of course he is not the same player as 2005-2009 because that was his peak.

But he is still far more valuable to us for so many reasons that Ozil and Cazorla aren't.

Probably am biased, but I know who I would have every single time in my team.

Couldn't be asked to read the rest of your emotional drivel about how Gerrard made your childhood and gave you happy moments sorry but like I said he sux now

Based on this season.. and their whole career

Gerrard >>>>>> Cazorla & Ozil
Twisting and turning with the ball without end product =

and even in your argument, what have Ozil and Cazorla done this season that is so much special than Gerrard?

Gerrard- scored 13 goals and assisted 13 goals in the PL.

Ozil- 7 goals and 11 assists
Cazorla- 4 goals and 8 assists.

The 2 Arsenal players from attacking midfield, Gerrard from defensive midfield. Don't use penalties as an excuse, Ozil attempted to take a penalty but fluffed his lines so badly, he wasn't put near one again.

This site used to be good, really going downhill with posters like you observant one, what happened to just a straight forward debate without being a sum?

IF Arsenal had someone like Gerrard who could tackle as well as pass like feck they'll probably be closer to the title.

Gerrard had a WORLD CLASS second half of the season. I mean, like how many could produce passes like this?

ATM I would agree with you, but Ozil was poor by his standard.
