If you sprinkle, when you tinkle,
Be a sweetie, and wipe the seatie'.
Never see those posters in EVERY bog these days.
A shame.

"Why £25+ for Di Maria/Sanchez?"
-----
Because realistically we've little to no chance of landing the much wished for "World Class" striker, (the sooner people get used to this, the sooner they can all start enjoying their summers more) so improving our quality in other areas is the obvious route.
Obvious to even the most 'observant' among us...
IMO we should be "splashing" in a number of areas, however as it is just over a week from the end of the season probably best to be patient.
Completely disagree, pace in wide areas is a definite need, this season made that glaringly obvious, minus Theo we don't get in behind teams.
If we've got the money I don't see why you wouldn't sign DiMaria or Alexis. There's a world of difference between them and brining back Vela (that I'm not interested in, failiure written all over it) or relying on Campbell.
Before loses we needed
Striker, Wide Player, Midfielder
After loses we need
Goalkeeper, Right Back, Centreback (x2 if TV goes)

Agree Lex.
Unless the market shifts dramitically big name strikers won't be availible but we don't need names we need pace, an alternative skillset to Giroud.
We need more pace/dynamism/energy across the team, this includes wide and if a top drawer option becomes availible (and speculation suggests several are and will be) we should add.
Same goes for the centre of the park which is why Cesc would be the reverse of what we need at the moment.
Versuch's mal mit Gemütlichkeit, mit Ruhe und Gelassenheit. Dann lass doch deine Sorgen halt' zu Haus
There's a ghost in my house
The ghost of your memories
The ghost of the love you took from me
Where our love used to be
Only shadows from the past I see
Time can't seem to erase
The vision of your smiling face
Though you found someone new
I can't get over you
There's a ghost in my house
I can't hide
I'm getting lost in the music.
There's a ghost in this thread too

Sorry but i disagree if we pay enough we'll get them suarez would only of been 8m more the ozil
Lex
And how did you figure out we're incapable of brining in a top striker then you hoebag? From the likes of Benzema upwards we could splash £35m there. More important than a winger. Giroud shouldn't be our main striker and if he manages to scrape a 3rd season as being the main man then it's a disgrace and proof that the professor has lost his touch a little.
Yes a winger will be nice but we have decent enough alternatives to save that stuff till last. Unless we plan to convert Sanchez into a forward we should hold off that.
The Griezmann link Splashing on 'potential' when we have Gnabry & Ox in the wakes.... silly season!

What now?
Just because it's our first era with money doesn't mean we should go against all morals and splash recklessly on less important areas. RB, DM, ST, CB then let's look at the other areas if we have enough left.
It is estimated the club could "comfortably" afford x3 £30m signings on circa 100k a week long term (4-5yr) contracts. The key word here being comfort...

We had circa £136m in the cash reserve two years ago.
"And how did you figure out we're incapable of brining in a top striker..."

It's called following football. In reality that is, rather than on games consoles.
Try it sometime. After a while, you might even start to enjoy it.
Btw, despite what a lot of posters here think, for the right money I'd be more than happy were we to sign Benzema this summer.

And you believe Wenger will do that? Spend £90m+ in this window? Really?... no like really? mmkay
Lexington
From what I gather Madrid have no intention of selling him, nor the player wishes to leave. That may change if the Suarez rumours come to anything but would be surprised if anything happened there.
So since you've been following football you haven't seen a good team buy a good striker and it work out?
United-RVP? Liverpool-Sturridge? City-Negredo? Swansea-Bony? Still good strikers we're capable of bringing
TheObservantOne
He may have to if he wishes to remain at the club.
Understand his new contract (and salary) is tied to performance.
Before the Emirates move AW continually spent the resource available. Not sure what use £150m+ is to him in the bank.
