I hope Modric is sold, he is a good player, but, 30 mil we should be tearing Chavski hand off. I think people over rate Modric.
Cockney have to agree , think you might see something like this .
Out. Wilson/Bentley(loan)/Crouch/Modders.
In. Ady/Diarra/CB/Striker.
Ade is a loan so no signing fee, if we sell Wilson and jenas then that will fund the move for Diarra.
Modric is staying.
Firstly, why do we need to fund anything? Unless of course you're talking about freeing up wages as our squad it too big.
Secondly, the general consensus is that Diarra in, Modric out, which will change the way our midfield lines up as they are too different players.
I'm probably wrong but I don't think Diarra is going to be signed as a replacement.
i wouldnt be suprised if we see a striker from milan here by the end of the window .
Or a player to Milan, i read somewhere AC wanted to sign Crouch.
Benny your right , im sure we dont have to fund a deal by selling Modders but Levy knows he wants out . I believe Levy Has something planned out . I hope he does .

hahahaahaha Crouch to Milan like Fartbragas back to learse
WHL - If Milan signed Crouch I'd seriously feel sorry for their fans, but I'd be delighed
Nike your kidding right? no BAE ?
WHL - if its for the good of the team, then why not? Its not like he would be gone and forgotten as Bale is quite injury prone. In addition there are several fronts to fight on. Harry has repeatedly said he sees Bale at LB, so if Diarra arrives i think the time for Harry's plan is nigh.
Harry said that about Bale ages ago now. I think if Harry saw Bale as a LB he would be trying to get in a left winger which hes not as far as i know anyhow.
BAE is one of our steadiest players imo. Undroppable.
If we're going to sell Modric to Chelsea which I wouldn't condone then we should try and weaken them in the process. Modric for Sturridge + cash would be decent.
spurtle if they're getting rid of modric, then I would seriously approach Man U before I'd sell to chelsea
Things are certainly changing on this board anyhow which is a good indication on how most fans are thinking. Lot of people saying they see modric going it was very different a while back.

Nika IMO Bae is one of the first names on harrys team sheet . I have heard Bale as a LB for a few years now but i personally think Bae is a lock at LB .

It's inevitable that Modric will leave, if not this summer then it will be next. Sturridge & a nice sum of cash would be acceptable.

BAE is the first name on the teamsheet partly due to the fact that he is the ONLY true LB we have. Note i say partly, don't wish to discredit his performances over the last few years as they have been of a very high standard. But at the same time if Harry really see's Bale at LB, as he has hinted on several occasions, the arrival of Diarra could see this idea materialize. I am just speculating of course, but it makes sense to me. Bale made his initial impact when he replaced BAE during the African Cup of nations, from LB. Since he moved to LM he has lost the consistency due to not having enough runway ahead of him.
Sandro beside Diarra...............I would have that team all day.
Nika to be honest you make a very good point . I still believe BAE makes us more solid at the back and Harry is , as you have hinted forced to play Bae at LB. <OK>
