Dont know anything about him but seems to have a good reputation. If true atleast the club are trying to fix what is one of our biggest problems
More good work from Gazidis.
He often gets a bad rap somewhat unfairly (as people prefer to blame him rather than others at the club....) but the work he's done with the kit deals and now the one for the training kit and the recent recruitments at Academy Level and now this appointment.
You go Ivan.
I know nothing about him but hope it's true anyway. Good to see we are making an effort to sort out the injuries, it's gone beyond a joke tbh.
He's American;
'Working alongside Arsenal trio Mesut Özil, Per Mertesacker and Lukas Podolski has given Forsythe a window into the Emirates Stadium and it’s expected that he’ll reject the advances of European giants Manchester United and Bayern Munich in favour of Wenger’s set-up.'
cant do much worse than your current one

The reason why he gets alot of stick is alot of fans seem to think he is a David Dein replacement. Gazidis has a brilliant business mind but not a football mind. Dein was the other way round
Could be the best move we make all summer!!!!
This might just be the best signing of the summer..
With Bould and Banfield supposedly signing new 3 year deals and Andries Jonker taking over the youth set-up in the summer it looks as though there's actually some progressive shuffling of the pack behind the scenes, not before time.
For all the stick the term gets, having Ramsey/Walcott/Wilshere/Ozil fit for the entirety of last season would actually have been like a new signing. Hopefully this move will go some way to addressing that.
Keeping the injuries down can be the difference maker, if we had less injuries last season the title was ours
Good game, good game.

This appointment, if it works, is better than any signing we could hope for barring Messi and Ronaldo. Injuries have been the bane of our club for a decade
Excellent news if this happens!!!
clubs going quite german atm, how long before the German National Anthem is played before games at the Emirates???
Best news in 10 years. Can't believe the club haven't done this sooner. It's been clear for a good 5 or 6 that the current fitness/physio set up is rubbish. Seriously good news here Gooners
I love the German national anthem
I am more interested in the results of the appointment rather than the mere appointment per se. A couple of years ago we celebrated the introduction of some dodgy gadgets for Arsenal players, but the injuries actually got worse and that was the last we saw of the toys.
Have to say I voiced my concern at the time when it was announced said gadgets were manufactured by Moulinex.
I will say, Wenger musing over players physical conditions was interesting, touching on the bizarre. Commenting about how he thought certain players with thinning hair taking supplements to combat hair-loss as potentially problematic.
Gazidis then went on to say that the club has launched an investigation of sorts into the clubs injuries and what could be done going forward. Prevention is better than cure, etc...
An appointment like this would surely be a step in the right direction?
"An appointment like this would surely be a step in the right direction?"
Yes.
Lets wait and see how he will adapt to the speed and physical nature of the Premier League.
