Wilshere will play over Henderson due to their performances in the recent two friendlies.

Another good performance from Barkley tonight and I think he may start:

------Sterling----Barkley----Rooney

-------------------Sturridge

Welbeck is one of the worst players I have ever seen. ever.

Wilshere consistenly gives the ball away at this level, yes he has very good attributes but the most important at a humid hot world cup is KEEPING the ball...id pick hendo..lallana over him every time.

Course you would your a Liverpool fan!

Wilshere was better than Henderson in their respective friendlies. Hodgson even picked out Wilshere's performance.

Its not s rivalry question. In fact i could understand picking lallana over hendo, i can see that. Hendo hasnt pulled up any trees in these friendlies while i think lallana could offer more.

Wilshere has been awful! What have you been watching? Henderson has not been given the freedom in either game than Wilshere was, yet Wilshere spent more time chasing the ball that he had given away, or falling over. Whilst Henderson has not been as good as he has been for Liverpool, due to clearly being told to not push forward as he does for us, Wilshere has been dog shït in everything he does!

Roy only said he played well to give him confidence, I doubt even Roy actually believes it. Barkley had a much better game than Rooney, yet got roasted by Roy, and Rooney got praised. For doing what exactly? Pinching the ball off Lamberts foot to score?

If Wilshere starts against Italy, we will lose. If Henderson starts, we might get a draw.

It has nothing to do with being a Liverpool fan, and everything to do with having eyes.

...tbf to welbeck though he does ok for England.

Welbeck better not start, but he will due to his stamina, which could actually be shortened due to the heat.

Wilshere has to start, England's best midfielder.

In what alternate reality is that in? It certainly isn't in this reality

Sterling looks like Little Richard. Although it could be the hair more than anything

The delusion from arsenal fans is ridiculous
It's like me saying Milner was great at right back

Paulpowers - the OP put Welbeck on the left.

Are you trying to be a smartaass?

I'd put my money on Ox being England's best player in the tournament if he gets fit followed by Sterling. But I wouldn't be surprised to see Wilshere however out shining everyone, this is his time despite not really impressing.

I think that'll probably be the starting line up, GB.

50, you overrate Wilshere so bad. He shouldn't even be on the plane let alone starting and being England's best midfielder.

We don't have any good quality CM's. We have a few good 'floaters' like Barkley, Sterling, Lallana and Oxtail-Chambermaid. But in terms of standard CM's, we are scraping the barrel.

Gerrard has never delivered when it really mattered for England, and now in his position as the deepest midfielder he gets exposed too often as defensively he's never been great and now his lack of mobility hinders this further.

Henderson provides plenty of running and hard work, which should be an absolute minimum for a footballer, but as we saw against Peru, there's not much in terms of initiative.

Lampard really shouldn't be included in the squad these days. He has never been suited to a midfield 2, and again like Gerrard, his decreasing mobility leaves himself and subsequently the rest of the team exposed.

Wilshere just seems to be an injury waiting to happen. I have yet to see a game when the physio wasn't called on to treat him. I don't think Paul Scholes was too far off the mark when he said Wilshere hadn't progressed since he burst onto the scene.

We really are struggling in the middle of the park.
