So this £65m to United doesn't have legs them?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Legs, as in plural? No.
You might be able to buy one of his legs for £65m though
I hope he doesn't leave, even though i would be happy to see Liverpool weakened, we need to keep players of that quality in the EPL.
We can't keep losing the best players to La Liga.....still amazes me how RM can spend what they do and stay withing FFP....i know they make the most gross revenue of any club, but even accepting that, their spending is mad

Don't think we'd stump up that kind of money for one leg
"We can't keep losing the best players to La Liga"
that's like the Dutch League moaning they can't keep losing players to the Premier League
we may have bigger marketing TV deals but we'll always be the 'smaller' league with less prestigious teams. It's always been that way.
I meant I don't want us to............

The best league in the world is the English premier league for it's competitive nature.
The biggest club in the world is in La Liga of course but people always forget (feel sick typing this) that Manchester United are just as big and far bigger than Barcelona. Liverpool are a huge European heavyweight historically and Chelsea are now.
At the end of the day everyone is a feeder club to Real Madrid, it's just how it is. I think Suarez eventually moving there is inevitable, but I don't think it will happen for another season yet. It is a difficult one because if Real did offer us £90m+ now for him, should we sell? It's an outrageous amount of money and this time next year a more realistic fee for a player of that age would be £50-60m. How much do we value one last season of Suarez, it's a real difficult one.

I hope he doesn't play well for England's sake
FSG have shown they wont be played by anyone.
IF we sell, it will certainly be on our terms.
personally, if we were to get di maria and £50-60m as an offer, I would snap their hand off

Very good chance of Aguero winning it tbf. The overrated pace merchant Messi will bottle it when it matters as usual, Aguero will be Argentina's saviour.
Very selfish but I hope Uruguay don't go through and Suarez doesn't play well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Overrated pace merchant Messi?!
Is that a joke I'm just not getting? Or is that your actual opinion?

messi isn't the best player in the world (he had injury issues this year)
but he is the best player of all time

The only joke is people thinking Messi is the best player in the world. Ronaldo is superior in every conceivable way. Anyway, Aguero will step up and be the main man for Argentina, hopefully that distracts Real.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, you think Ronaldo is better. That doesn't make Messi an overrated pace merchant!
Forget Ronaldo, if you can't see Messi's talent then there is something not quite right with you.
Am I the only person who thinks he doesn't want to leave the team he worked his ass off getting into the CL? I know wums will hate this, but LFC is a pretty special club.

If Madrid come in for him I reckon he will be off (price dependant).
Getting him to sign a new contract was a great piece of work by the club, given the shenanigans of last summer. He's irreplaceable, but as long as we get the right amount of money I wouldn't be too disappointed. IMO it really is a matter of when rather than if. Hopefully it's not this summer, but if Madrid want him, I wouldn't rule it out.
if it's a choice between Sunny madrid and slummy liverpool there is only one winner for suarez
