Just doing a similar to what you lot did to us, added this season to the no trophy tally......we got it every year.....think about it.....2005 was our last trophy from 2005 season to 2014 it was really only 8 full seasons
05-06, 06-07, 07-08, 08-09, 09-10, 10-11, 11-12, 12-13 we did not win....2013-2014 was the 9th but we won a trophy that season......but we got 9 years because the season ended on the 9th....just like this is 2nd season and thus 2......now go and suck eggs.....

No it does not as you were in a false position. In 98/99 Villa led the league for a long time but did not win it.
The only time being on top of the league matters is at the end of the season
