I think Rooney will be phased out by Euro 2016.

Will Hughes

Stones will push Jones and Cahill.

Stones does look like he could be something special. Will need experience at the back though

Is will Hughes going to be better than Barkley?

posted on 10/6/14

Hughes is a very different player to Barkley, he's more of a Scholes type player

That team would struggle due to lack of discipline.
Henderson will have a long term place in the England team, and would provide stability in that midfield, which might look good on paper, but would be taken apart by most decent international teams.
As for raising a question mark over a player with a current goalscoring record like Sturridge, well I'm afraid players are picked for their country, due to how well they play at club level, so there might be a few more question marks over most others, before Sturridge.

Good career choices over the next two transfer windows could see Caulker join that list IMO. He's currently a regular starter and should keep this in mind should he leave Swansea.

5 years is a lifetime in any top flight career. For all we know, Berahino might have won the Pichichi by then.

Considering he plays for Cardiff, I think he should have much more on his mind if he's leaving Swansea.

There was an article in the press that compared the choices that Yaya Toure and Rodwell made at the same stage in their careers. Toure turned down Arsenal's bench and built a solid CV across a number of leagues. Rodwell chose the money at City where the stiff competition for places means that his inconvenient injury problems make him a mere quota player. Sadly, quite a number of the promising players in your lineup will end up suffering a similar fate.

Possibly but that's what happens when you're predicting five years in the future, many things could happen.

jones will be brilliant one day, already far better than smalling,
----------------------
No he is not. I have no idea where this myth comes from, but as someone who watches them week in week out, I can tell you that Smalling is a superior CB. Most United fans would tell you the same too.

I think Rooney will end up playing in the middle. Behind the striker for England he is terrible, his touch is appalling. But he has great talent and his passing is brilliant, could be great for him to dictate the play.
--

So his touch wouldn't matter having to play (and hence receive) the ball more times than anyone else in the team? Also, it's not just about passing, dictating the play is all about knowing how to read the game in terms of when to speed it up, slow it down, take risks, etc. Anything to suggest Rooney's capable of all that?
