Doesn't make any sense. if you buy shares for £2 and they go down to £1 then they are worth half as much, whether you have realised that loss or not.

What doesn't make sense Tblot??

Shares can go up as well as down!

Greaves - do you really not understand mate. You bought these players and their values declined massively. Because they are flops. So your "shares" (i.e. players) are worth less currently. They are valued less. How can you and Chronic not grasp this?

Another fail for the spurs fans in this thread perhaps? Please try and use something sensible in your response.

YOU are just guessing that the value has dropped because YOU believe they are flops.

The value can only be determined once the selling club has agreed a price for such player to be sold either at a lower or higher than the original price paid by the selling club.

Once then and only then you can know the true value before this it's all guess work and such makes your comment pointless!

Hengy you are spot on, this clown lives in his own little World & thinks he understands the workings of football finances.

Tblot.................as Hengy has articulated so well and shown how wrong you are!

The same applies to Soldado. He is worth about £5m. And that is if he will leave and take less money. Which we have seen is a growing problem with your club.

-------

in your opinion… my opinion is that if we sold him right now, we would get more than 5 mill for him.

and the only way to know who is right, is by us actually selling him and then seeing what the fee is, until then neither of us know, so stop pretending you know the value of all our players when your guess is as good as mine (well its worse then mine actually because you are not a very bright person).

how are you getting on with my template?

Just like Olympic Stadium, Valencia have bigger ground than Spurs..

Your gate & matchday receipts was £14m, Spurs was £33m.

When your deluded fans are paying highest season ticket then your gate revenue should be equal to Arsenal..

do you think someone would bid come and £26mil for Soldado? What a deluded Spurs fan..

No, what he means here (and bear with me) is that you should read what he actually wrote, digest it, understand it, and then think about what you are going to write in reply before publishing it, so as to avoid making yourself look stupid.
That's free advice too

--------

indeed. don't be an idiot all your life maf. why don't you read what more intelligent people on this article are saying, and try to actually understand it for once?

I made the point to him before, that you cannot say we have lost money on them until someone actually purchases them.
Then it's a simple case of maths....until then, it's academic.
It's really simple actually, Muffpants.
-----

its simple to the average person, but not to Tblock and maffypoops.

no surprises there though, as Tblock thinks QPR are a big and famous club with a worldwide reputation, and Maf doesn't know his left from his right yet.

they are not exactly Sir Isaac Newton

So its hilarious that all spurs fans don't understand how valuations work. Soldado is worth less than you paid because he is older, has proved he can't cut it in the premier league and because you overpaid for him in the first place.

Lets try again: Is soldado worth £26m?

comment by Hengy (U9129)

See again you're guessing which means nothing

Soldado is only worth for what he is sold for and as we haven't put a price on him then his value is unknown ATM

posted on 15/7/14

We don't know exact figures but we know he isn't worth £26m. Or even close Its really not that hard to work out

So what happens if Soldado goes out & scores 20 goals in the PL this season, does his valuation go lower? Higher? Or remain the same?
Who knows?

As for age, how is that relevant? Most top players play well into their 30's and perform at good levels, Drogba, Pirlo, Klose to name but a few!

As for your assertion that he has proved he can't cut it in the PL, that is such a stupid statement.

There have been many eventual PL stars who struggled in the PL, only to have very good second seasons.

If we play to Soldado's strengths then he should comfortably hit at least 20 goals next season

Again that's YOUR opinion which is guess work and means nothing

We all know Luiz isn't worth £50m but that's what he was sold for so become his current value

Seeing as we have only paid £13m so far your point is totally irrelevant, is it not?
You haven't quite got your head round the performance to payments ratio, have you?
