Wow, you are harsh. Why don't we just put him to sleep like a dog.
Patrick Kluivert killed someone via dangerous driving, no ban, no jail sentance, nothing.
Think people are going a bit over the top.
He bit someone, yes its a bit mental but two year ban? Seriously?
As far as I'm concerned it's about how Rodgers and the club act. Whatever they deem necessary is fine by me. BR always will put the club first and he's the most important man at LFC. Shoudl he deem it necessary to sack Suarez so be it, I don't he will but he won't condone anything like and I doubt the club would look to challenge any kind of punishment.
Cob, did he do that on a football field? Or did he do that in society? Ie, did a court of law pass sentence? I believe they did, his punishment was pathetic being 240 hours of community service. However your comparisons are misguided...
He definately needs to see a psycologist who would have to determind whether it is safe for him to return to playing football.

What's that got to do with FIFA???
Rio done for 9 months for going shopping... Stupidity was his Crime. And paid the price.
Now 3 times done for biting, he deserves a lengthy ban.. And some major rehab.
At the very least, he's bonkers!..
But I reckon the worst it gets, is World Cup Expulsion.
FIFA, he crapped on your doorstep, and in the faces of billions around the world... We are watching you.

-----------------------
I'm sure the rules off football don't account for what one does when driving a car
The rules only apply to what a player/manager etc does whilst actually at work
If you bit someone on the street you would be done for assault and probably jailed. Why should it be any different for Suarez?

Not a chance in hell that Liverpool would write off 80 or so million quid by sacking instead of selling him
I dont want to see Liverpool punished in all this, BUT!! What does it take for Suarez to learn his lesson?!? He should be banned from all football for 6mths, yes thats harsh on Liverpool but this guy needs dealing with once and for all.
There should be an incentive, whereby, liverpool get compensated for Sacking him.
Give em 50 mill and fernando Torres... Good deal.
Think Liverpool fans would bite their arm off for that!
Think they would prefer 40 million and no Torres
There should be an incentive, whereby, liverpool get compensated for Sacking him.
===============
and who would pay the 40 mil?
bucket goes round clubs and everyone chips in a few quid?
and once hes sacked and liverpool get their money, whats to stop them re-hiring him to a larger contract using the collected funds?
and who would pay the 40 mil?
----
Dont forget the fecking extra pound!!!
"and once hes sacked and liverpool get their money, whats to stop them re-hiring him to a larger contract using the collected funds?"
Well obviously there would be Proviso's in place.
Just to make sure, Liverpool don't Morally bankrupt the deal.
You know, No Buy-Backs, No T-Shirts..that kind of thing.
I'm making this up obviously... But I agree, Liverpool shouldn't be punished for his actions, but it looks like that's what's going to happen..
So would that deal make you happy?

i didnt want to be classed as unrealistic by asking for 40 mil and a pound so i just stuck to the 40 mil

This intensive almost labotamistic rehabilitation that is required
=====================================================================================
I have to admit, many of the reactions to this incident have been highly entertaining.
“labotamistic rehabilitation”....excellent.
I’ve read a couple of psychologists’ comments this morning, and none of them come anywhere close to that.
If he were in the habit of doing it while casually walking down the street, you might have a point, but the psychologists seem to be placing it , more sensibly within the framework of an ahtletes’ ability to cope with adrenaline within a confrontational sport, and how most can ckirt close to the line without crossing, but some can’t.
Leave it to the professionals, you plum....you’re due quite a klot of change from your ‘2 cents’ worth.
On a side note: I’m not a big fan of puns, but “Chamakh My Pitch Up” is a good username.
On a further side note, look up 'Anthony Watts bite' on Google (I can't post the link becaue it contains a banned word). Talk about headcase behaviour.
. "I was wearing a mouthguard and there's no way I bit him on the d.ick,"
2 years is just silly, it really really is.
However, something akin to eye gouging in rugby which, lets face it, is far more dangerous than having a nibble on someone shoulder or arm.
Rugby's bans are as follows;
The regulations provide a scale of seriousness:
Lower end: up to 12-week ban.
Mid range: up to 18-week ban.
Top end: greater than 24-week ban.
The maximum sanction is a 156-week (3 year) ban.
He must also get some counselling or something in my opinion.

Same goes for punching, elbowing and headbutting someone on the streets..There seems to be some kind of overreaction if you ask me. Not acceptable, but it's no murder

It's not murder. But it isn't an overreaction either
Don't you ever get sick of it always being Luis Suarez?
"However, Something akin to Eye Gouging in rugby, which let's face it, a far more dangerous than having a nibble...."
I doubt Suarez was giving him a Love Bite in front of Billions....
Or was he?...
I reckon he'll get the rest of this WC, and the whole of the next Copa America.
