Loved the comment from the TV Dhoni's in the huddle "saying come on guys I'm doing all the talking scoring all the runs and keeping wicket any of you want to help me out here"

England thoroughly outplayed India. Hope Indian fans are not going to keep on harping about that Cook lbw decision.
Maybe with Benny's luck so far of not losing test match, rain may come to India's rescue. Otherwise, no chance here for them.
I just saw highlights of all dismissals. Indian batsmen looked clumsy like clowns. What is Fletch doing when they are getting out again and again in the same manner?
Dhoni is a very powerful man. Dont think our coaches can tell him, mate this is what you need to do. I was observing their practice session yesterday in the ground. Eng were in dressing room for atleast 30 mins probably discussing their plans. India came in the ground and one by one started going to practice. Including flecher and other support staff. Dhoni was the only one in the dressing room. Im not convinced if flecher can even tell dhoni anything. Our selectors were fired for sacking msd which was overturned by srinivasan. Says how much power this guy has. I mean can u believe that its because of dhoni drs is not accepted by bcci?
I think we will hopefully get to know more from flecher how he was treated and what his rolr was once he has been sacked or his contract finishes
I won't be watching the cricket today. I will be watching the football, I prefer to watch a contest.

This series has been a huge disappointment in terms of a contest. The Sri Lanka series was more evenly contested.
Robson bowled. His place must be in doubt.
Robson
Think that will be the last time he bats for England for a long time.
Surely that's the end of Robson test career for now. Failed all summer when on flat pitches with chit bowlers (SriLanka and India).
Still cant believe Cook wasn't given out to probably the most plum lbw ever yesterday especially after Kholi got that super tight decision against him.

Thing is boss thats what the DRS is for... and if they dont want it I have absolutely no sympathy.
Kholi was a funny one - on sky I'm sure they showed both appeals for not playing a shot and the one given not out was more of an out than the one given.
This thread is like a morgue today, not much interest in the cricket today
Just turned on to sky sports 2 and thought I'd hit some weird pôrnô channel, because there's 2 English blokes beasting a bunch of Indians!

Football
Steady progress by England, 130-1. Cook approaching 50....
We'll be past them by lunch...
You know times are bad when you would rather tune in to watch a United game than watch your own countrymen play Cricket. At least the women are doing India proud. All set to chase 181 to win the solitary test match against England - one of the highest fourth innings chases I believe in women's cricket. Fantastic from the ladies. Maybe Kohli and co. should get a few lessons from Mithali Raj on how to play an on drive.
50 for Cook. Not spectacular but well done to him.
India have struggled. The only reason I can think about their poor performances is they havent been able to deal with the bounce. Lords was bowler friendly but the bounce was pretty Subcontinetal type. Came southampton and even our most inform batsman struggled. And we all know the results after that.
If they performed poor in 1 innings, its still forgivable. But 5 innings on the trot. BCCI being the most powerful board should have the guts to shake up this indian dressing room. Flecher and company deserve not a single minute more in the dressing room. They seem to be as clueless as how gambhir has been so far.
Im 100% sure we will struggle in ODIS as well. This team has always struggled when conditions havent been anything like home conditions. Losing and winning has been part of the game, but the problem with India is BCCI never does any introspect when the team does poorly.
Our fielding, our bowling(bar one innings in 100 tests), our batting, our WK. Everything is very poor.
Im not even sure why we have binny and jadeja in the TEST team. They would not even get into county teams.
Our selectors never give the reasons why a particular player was selected, when we lose no one takes the responsiblity or answers what steps are taken to prevent such future loses. What hurts me more is dhoni was very vocal when his CSK team lost in the finals, showing how much he cares. come to national duty and he makes jokes like ah we will get 2 days rest and its my call of what I want to do.
these series lot will be brushed under the fact that India is an inexperianced side. and life for indian super stars will carry on.
There is a lore that Fletch is better than any other coach in helping batsmen correct their technical problems. We haven't seen any evidence in this series to support that lore.
