You come across as a very humble fan, sir.

India have no chance tonight.

Even New Zealand had never beaten Sri Lanka in a world cup game before last night.

5-0 or 6-0 so far? Isn't this sixth mtg?

India are playing a third rate Pakistan team. Irfan apart, pakistan quickies are sat at home. If india don't beat a weakened Pakistan, they will struggle in this tournement

Think SA win that comfortably.

Also how the heck has that guy got over 1000 points in the fantasy league??

What is the rationale for not sending first-rank team for this biggest event?

==========
He picked 11 players who all played yesterday, and most did well.

He's put his eggs in one basket with no future planning. Fantasy league will be won after 3 weeks when you still have subs left.

A word of caution about the 5-0 record. At some point, things start going the other way.

To help the lay American understand, Wash Post described India as similar to Boston Red Sox and Pakistan as Oakland A's.

India MLB equivalent: Boston Red Sox. Score lots of runs, give up lots of runs and seem to have a billion fans — though in India’s case, it’s actually true.

Pakistan MLB equivalent: Oakland A’s. Incredible bowling/pitching, batting is iffy. Expect tight, low-scoring games.

When I looked up the 5 previous WC contests between Ind and PK, what surprised me was that except in 2003, India won primarily because their usually impotent bowlers were effective.

India have won the toss 4 times out of 5 and with the old rules chasing was hard. Nevertheless the 2011 semi was there to be won but we bottled it and Misbah lost the plot.

Didn't we win in 2011 with a bowling line up that included Ashish Nehra and Munaf Patel?

Munaf Patel for god sake

forget about misbah, how many remember how umar gul lost his run up and his action, when sehwag took him to the cleaners.

well to be fair to the players you have to feel for them. they probably didnt sleep well for the last few days and today they must be feeling the heat. so much pressure on them.

the only thing i will miss is gambhir in this match. he generally does so well in these sort of pressure games. not sure how this new gen will handle pressure.

Sehwag - I really miss that man. He loved the big occasion and I remember in a short stay at the crease he ripped the heart out of Gul in one over really smashing him all over the ground. He really should have been in this squad even if it was only for his experience but then again Viru was never the kind of guy who accepted being second best or a squad player.
