Neon I need Liverpool to beat United on Sunday to get over it.

Best 3 teams are in semi so far.

Let's hope for some entertaining games to come.

Oh boy, Guppers! Who would have predicted that he would be the top power hitter for NZ?

Dropped on 4 and goes on to make 237!

Think windies have played this wrong here, Gayle should have gone back to the pavilion and come back out later.

They're making a good fist of it, but will run out of wickets

Game over now

complete crap. 6 and out stuff from WI.

And this is the "world" cup?

Always going for the 6 when a 4 would do.

Perhaps the nz vs Saffers semi final can be renamed the 'Chokers Cup'. The loser is guaranteed that tag.

South Africa vs Aussies would be the ideal final for me

Ps, the boundaries in NZ are shockingly small..... Next time a NZ Aus, Eng or SA complains about the size of the boundary in Rajkot, just pretend they don't exist

237 not out fek me

The rules have to change after WC. It has ruined this world cup. Extra fielder is needed outside the ring and they need to examine these small grounds. There should be a minimum size boundary.

What can't be argued is that the best 4 sides are in the semi.

Nz are probably in the worst position to win this wc. Have played no matches in Australia and conditions are very different.

I can see all matches being one sided from here on regardless of who wins.

This extra fielder needs to go out. There is very big imbalance between bat and ball

NZ or SA. Whoever wins will have made it to the final for the first time. Losing team will have to deal with a choker tag for another 4 years, especially SA.

From a financial perspective, the organisers would prefer Aus, NZ, or Ind battling the final.

Windies aimed for a better scoring rate and achieved.
In terms of winning a knockout, it was a wrong aim though. Talented, but not among the smartest.

NZ in WC semifinal for the 7th time!!! Consistent, but lacked that extra punch. This is their best chance ever to win the Cup. It helps that the semifinal is at home.

WI have always lacked brains. Gayle IMO needs to think where he stands in his international career. He can be such a destructive batsman but he just doesnt seem to care about playing carefully when required.

Anyway I think its fair to say the best 4 teams have qualified and from here onwards its not going to be easy to pick who will reach the finals. All teams have their strengths and weaknesses. Hopefully we have a well fought semis and finals(not one sided matches)

Heart says SA, but brain's verdict is NZ. Wouldn't be surprised if SA batting collapsed again under pressure.

India's usually wayward, ineffective and profligate pace bowlers have been exceptionally disciplined and effective in every match so far. Almost unreal. Will the next match be the one in which their performance disintegrates to its usual low standard?

posted on 21/3/15

Don't SA have a good recent record against NZ?

Both semis are win toss and bat first and more or less win.

posted on 21/3/15

Only problem for india is that they beat a poor Pakistan team that weren't at the races until mid competition and then South Africa who didnt turn up for that game - both beaten comfortably without putting on a challenge. Most other QF teams have played in games where they have been challenged and made to struggle. If aussies bat first, it's curtains. If india bat first then they have a much better chance.

NZ have played all their games at home on (generally) smaller grounds and more bowling friendly pitches- they'll get beat in the final if they get there. Hope Saffers beat them though

Maxwell tweet on wahab - " And to clarify, the shot is called the back away, look away, deliberate cut through point... Haha! Well bowled Wahab! Had me..."

Absolutely ridiculous that Watto and Wahab got fined. They were heated up during an intense match. That's what sport should be about. If it gets physical then fair enough, but not for verbals.
