Hamilton was stupid out there today. Only has himself to blame.

What is wrong with being disappointed? Said so himself, it is had to be cheery and chatty afterwards.

Amazing he is criticised for being a human being. Was he supposed to dance the macarena?

There's being "disappointed" and acting like a 6-year-old that just dropped their lollipop.

Maybe you need to teach him about being an adult then

Here's a couple for conspiracy theorists.
1. RBR admit they called DR in but let SV stay out.
2. NR claimed it was collective decision for him to stay out, was it the same for LH.
Just saying

LH radioed his team to say that it was too slippery and they let him decide whether to go for it or abandon.

Should be a good race tomorrow going by the grid placings. I will be watching the TdF so will have to catch it later on the iPlayer.

Lewis lewis lewis. Silly decision! He will win tmoro tho

He needs to win. Good to see the redbulls competitive

If it rains tomorrow I can honestly see Button taking it.

He excels in dodgy weather, he's high up on the grid and he's got a home crowd behind him.

I'd like to share your optimism, but even in Button's favourite conditions, he was still 2.4 seconds behind Rosberg.

Tall, good in the wet he maybe, but he hasn't got overall race pace, so I would disagree.

posted on 5/7/14

Maybe, but I would argue that he had the same pace disadvantage driving for Honda in 2006 and at that year's Hungarian GP, he won from 14th on the grid.

By the way, I know I'm being a little too optimistic here but stranger things have happened.

If it rains, its Seb best chance to win

Notice our nemesis has only posted once on this thread, and all I can say is he must have been looking in the mirror.

Lewis Hamilton ruined his chance of getting pole because he made a bad judgement. His fault entirely and he paid the price. It is now up to him to redeem himself and try and minimise the damage point wise.

So a driver fouls up and gets upset. What do sensible people think his attitude should be to that event? Congratulate himself?

Personally, I would be well upset. But we are discussing Lewis Hamilton. Normal rules do not apply.

Some fool posted that the best British driver was Paul di Resta. When PdR was fired the fool then declared that Jenson Button was the best British driver.

2015 - Max Chilton = best British driver, providing of course that Lewis Hamilton is still racing.

C'mon Max?

Hi guys,

Was a big mistake by LH obvs thought the track was to slippery buy fair play to the other drivers for keep going.

LH was obvs upset with himself as he really wanted pole... Last thing he wanted was a tv camera in his face asking him stupid questions.

On the race can see Rosberg winning with LH 2nd

Just to add to my previous posting re: conspiracy theories, this from the BBC site doesn't exactly dispel that thought:
"Mercedes co-team boss Toto Wolff said: "Qualifying was very difficult. It was a tiny mistake and we did question ourselves whether we should have helped out a bit more."
So why didn't they?

what was merc supposed to do then
- tell hamilton to do the intelligent obvious thing and not to abort the lap -

Just a comment MA, especially as Rosberg said in the the post Quali-intetview that the decision for him to stay out was a joint decision by him and the team.
It just adds to the fire of one set of conspiracy theorists.
