Just a comment MA, especially as Rosberg said in the the post Quali-intetview that the decision for him to stay out was a joint decision by him and the team.
It just adds to the fire of one set of conspiracy theorists.

Hi guys,

Was a big mistake by LH obvs thought the track was to slippery buy fair play to the other drivers for keep going.

LH was obvs upset with himself as he really wanted pole... Last thing he wanted was a tv camera in his face asking him stupid questions.

On the race can see Rosberg winning with LH 2nd
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tv cameras in his face? So what about all the other drivers doing interviews?? Post quali interviews happen at every race and they hardly ask daft questions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes I know but what was he going to say he was clearly upset/annoyed and to ask a question like "what went wrong" was it not clear enough FFS

Not disputing the fact that LH made the call MA.
Just commenting on the fact that NR admitted his decision to stay out was a joint decision, collective was the word he used I think, and TW admitted they, the team maybe could have done more to help/advise LH, but they didn't.

dont really have a favourite go cell -- i respect alonso for what he does with uncompetitive machinery and tend to think of the spaniard as the most complete driver currently out there --

Good choice, but he should move on from Ferrari. For whatever reason I don't think the two go together. Did you see / hear EJs comment yesterday about a swap between Merc and Ferrari, LH for FA! Not sure FA and NR driving as equals would work though, especially if NR wins 2014 WDC.

And also saw a comment that Ron Dennis would be happy for LH to drive for them NEXT year, and speculation that tentative talks already started.

yeh agree -- in hindsight alonso has had a disaster at ferrari , i believe the testing restrictions that were implemented for 09 has hurt ferrari more than anybody else ,
i am a bit split as to whether he should leave ferrari as they are building a new f1 facility for 2015 which will mean an updated wind tunnel and new engine spec for there flawed engine which i believe to be a turbo charger that is to small -

realistically where would he go if he left ferrari , not sure if he would want red bull with the very flawed renault engine , not sure if merc would have him , which would only leave mclaren which may be the best option with former red bull chief aerodynamist peter prodromou and the honda donkey installed there for 2015 -

----------- could he afford to take that chance if the new ferrari facility proves capable of designing a championship winning machine for him
------- its a tricky one for the spaniard --

Nothing at all wrong with Hamilton's decision. There was nothing to gain it seemed and he was doing the intelligent thing of saving the car. Turned out to be wrong. But nobody knew that at the time. I have watched motor racing since 1958 and been involved in it too. I have never seen a session like that and I know nobody else has either. Had Hamilton decided to be silly and go for a lap he would almost certainly have been on pole. Good for those drivers that did stay out. They have been proven right against the whole history of Grand Prix racing. But basically and from where he was sitting, Hamilton was doing exactly the right thing.

Oh, I hope not! Look at recent McLaren history. Hamilton is the best driver out there, Given car, track and watch, he is almost certainly quicker than anybody else. He simply needs to stop trying to play stupid games and start relying on his massive talent and now considerable experience. An all-time great who will merge into the background if he gives up the best team for what has become one of the worst.

I am a big fan of Lewis, he is technically the best driver out there but I would like Rosberg to win the championship because he wants and deserves it more. Yesterday demonstrated that Lewis can be unbelievably stupid, which really p!$$es me off. Lewis has a penchant of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, and has done so many times.

""I am a big fan of Lewis,""" Oh, really?
""Lewis can be unbelievably stupid, which really p!$$es me off.."" Yeah, right! If you knew anything about motor racing you would see how intelligent his actions actually were, the benifit of 22 hours hindsight has really worked in your favour..
And Rosberg did nothing wrong at Monaco did he, or Canada? He didn't cheat, he just, what was your pathetic excuse for that? Oh yes, he just, "wants it more"......so that's alright then. From another "big fan of Lewis!"

What a load of nonsense! Lewis himself admitted that he blundered, but you think he was smart. What an idiot. As for Rosberg, he may have made mistakes but he is top of the ladder so what's your point? You have no clue about F1. Yes I am a big fan of Lewis, but not a blind fan like you.
