Can't compare Beckford with Ross, Ross had lengthy contract remaining, Beckford was out of contract.

Had Beckford scored in the championship like he did in L1 and have 4 years remaining on his contract, maybe it would be comparable.

As Jonty says, 11m? Questionable and for it to be a good deal for us Leeds fans, it HAS to be re invested, no excuses.

11m is great if true for Ross, however it leaves a massive hole in our ability to score enough goals to stay up.

We have 4 weeks to find a decent replacement, let's hope club have something up their sleeve otherwise our relegation odds (6 favourites for relegation at present) are going to seriously shorten.

chorley, I think morale will improve without him at club, even if he wasn't asking to leave, can't explain why, just a feeling.

Yes, we are losing his goals, but its a chance for a new style of play and for others to step in.

We had the same issue when Beckford left, but changed our style to allow our wingers more opportunity to score rather than create for Beckford. Becchio was also freed up to take chances as opposed to make them for Beckford. I seem to remember that first season in the Championship we scored the same amount as we did the season before in League One.

Maybe the website hasn't been updated because Cellino mistakenly sacked them as part of the cutting back process ...................

Warwick, I think a ton of cost cutting and wage clearing has already bridged that gap. I fully expect 5 or 6 of the names I've read coming in soon.
