Aren't we trying hard to get Toni Kroos ?

Doubt it superb. Think he's off to Madrid
Yes we know you have too many workhorses and not enough footballers.
Therefore to get the best out of the two genuine footballers you have, Cesc and Hazard, you're best playing them in attacking roles that get them nearer to the goal.
Playing Oscar ahead of Cesc seems a waste. The other way around would work better, in my opinion.
Especially if you dropped the other workhorse, Wilner, for Schurlle, because Hazard and Cesc would be able to pickout his runs in behind, as well as doing the same with Cost and working off his hold up play.
Mourinho should get Khedira, I think he rates him quite highly as he was a regular starter under him at Madrid.
Matic Khedira
---Cesc
Valar, yeah I agree. That would give Chelsea's midfield a bit of everything.
Cesc can still pick out runs in behind from a slightly deeper position. Only difference is Oscar is better at pressing and Jose tried to get us to press from the front last season. Have to hope that Oscar shows his form from the early part of last season when he was our best player or Willian becomes more consistent with his end product
Khedira looked good but he was given way too much space in the middle tonight.
Yeah honestly...you can't judge any performance past the 30th min. Brazil had already given up.
Khedira is another workhorse. Need a quality ball player

Exactly, was made to look like Iniesta tonight.
Personally I want someone with guile in CM and Cesc ticks the boxes. He was at his best when he played in CM for Arsenal.
Barca moved him around too much and never played him in his best position.
He's still better than what we have superb
I'd definitely take him over Ramires
But Cesc is still better further forward and infinitely better than Oscar.
Not like Cesc doesn't press either. He's been playing for Barca and Spain for years and it was of the fundamentals of their game.
Did it at Arsenal when they were there as well.
Seems a waste of Cesc's abilities to not play him in attacking midfield because Oscar is a better workhorse.
Cesc played as a number 10 in his last 2 seasons at Arsenal and that's when he really took his game up a couple of notches. I doubt he has the workrate to play as a cm in a Mourinho side.
That's Mourinho's system for us though, which is why Oscar was preferred to Mata
If Oscar hits some form though then we'll be laughing
Mr C I'd take Dot Cotton over Ramires.
Why didn't we sell to Real Madrid when they showed interest ??
Can't see anyone rushing to sign any Brazilian players now sadly
workrate and the defensive capability^
Willians a fantastic player. Actually tipping him to become our poty next season. His finishing product needs to scrub up and he was our best attacking player second half of last year.
Oscar on the other hand has been woeful, either wastes too much energy on defending and pressing or just doesn't have the power for this level. Would be wasted in cm, doesn't have the pace or power to run a game IMO.
Took his goal well in a one on one but seems to pick and choose when he wants to turn it on.
Mind you hazard hasn't been much better either.
On form we should play
Matic Ramires
Schrulle fab willian
Dot can at least string a couple of passes together

Did we sell Eden ?
Not really buying the whole thing about Oscar being preferred to Mata because of his workrate and his system.
This is a manager that has had Sneijder, Ozil and Deco as his attacking midfielders in the past and all were given that free attacking role and supplemented by a more robust midfield behind them.
I think it was more a case of marginalising him with this crap so that when Chelsea sold for big money to free up more cash the Chelsea fans wouldn't turn on him because they'd lap up Jose's bullshiiite and convince themselves it was the correct decision and that Oscar is better than Mata - it's worked on many, so fair play, Mourinho knows how to play people.
