Stewart Lee is the best comedian out there at present.
Those are all fairly standard, run of the mill, wembley arena, straight to DVD type comedians for a mass market.
The best stand-up hands down is Stewart Lee. The intelligence and brilliance in his writing and performance are incredible.
Jack Whitehall - At times
Jason Manford - Used to
James Corden - Was hilarious at the theatre
Rob Beckett -No
Milton Jones - Yes
Mickey Flanagan - Sometimes annoying, has moments
John Richardson - Yes
Jimmy Carr - Yes
Jo Brand - No
Joe Wilkinson - Has moments
Ha, Wing_Genius!
What are the odds?
Lee Evans is still my favourite of his generation
Every joke Jo Brand makes is about her being a fat, old woman, quite literally every single joke.

Not true. Some jokes are about her husband.
Which is better than Sarah Millican who only seems to have jokes about cake and vágínas.
I really enjoy Richard Herring's stand up. It's inventive, which so many of the current crop aren't.
Adam Buxton, who isnt necessarily a stand-up,is also one of England funniest individuals.
(I miss the adam and joe show )

Same with John Richardson, every joke is about him being a loser and shíte with women. Stephen Merchant falls into that category as well.

Forgot all about Adam Buxton. Very funny guy
Can't stand Andy Parsons either. That new guy on MTW, Romash(?), don't like him either. All of his jokes are about him being Indian...
Dylan Moran is a good stand-up.
A League of their Own is the only comedy show that I would record so I don't miss it, hasn't been on for a long while now though.
I've thought the same myself for a while. So many of these very mediocre comedians about now in the comedy circuit. We live in a world where Russell Howard is one of the most popular comedians and that says it all. Some of the ones I used to like have gone downhill or have moved on like Lee Evans, Jack Dee, Bill Bailey.
Not as many funny comedies as there used to be either.
We used to have shed fulls of top notch comedians back in the day.
From Bob Monkhouse, Ben Elton, Jasper Carrott, Jethro, very early Freddie Star, Jim Davidson, Eddie Izzard, Bernard Manning etc.
Agree with the people saying Stewart Lee is the best around. He really is incredible.
God knows how you can like Andy Parsons and Hugh Dennis. Both come across as trying too hard. I hate Hugh Dennis because of that program with the kids. Makes me want to puke.
That new guy on MTW, Romash(?), don't like him either. All of his jokes are about him being Indian...
----------
Agreed but I like his delivery.
Anyone else a Ross Noble fan? Seen a few of his stand up gigs and they have me in stitches!
He makes like 95% of it up on the spot, and just chats bóllocks for 2 hours. Great improv.
Likewise Dara O'Briain, audience interaction and improv are fantastic. I tend to enjoy those types of comedians, and those with a 'story to tell' more than comedians with a routine where you just turn up and fire 200 jokes out, and leave.
Basically if you get a comedian from an ethnic minority it's best to avoid them because they will always make jokes about their ethnic background.
Basically everyone on Mock Of The Week is utter tripe.

There are some redeeming factors, he's got good timing (or so it seems!) just a shame about the actual content.
Frankie Boyle started trying to hard to be controversial I think. His last 2 or 3 tours were pretty awful, rehashed jokes from the previous few years.
Bill Bailey and Jack Dee
Frankie Boyle was quality on MTW. Not seen too much of him for a while now
Is there a single funny female comedian out there? Every episode of MTW now seems to have a new unfunny female comedian on the panel

This. There's that Nigerian one that's on there sometimes too, Andy Osho (?) all of hers are about Nigerians.
Then again, it's the same with virtually all female comedians. All about how men are shíte and women are fat/hormonal etc. Can't think of a single decent woman comedian, off the top of my head.
